Users Manual

Warning: This device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions (1)this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2)this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. • Detects All Three Types of EMF Contamination: AC Magnetic, AC Electric, and RF/Microwave. • Special Frequency Weighting Mode: Measures electric current from EMF in the human body. • AC Magnetic Mode: Covers 40Hz-200kHz with a range of 0.1-99.9 milligauss (mG). • AC Electric Mode: Covers 40Hz-100kHz with a range of 1-999 volts per meter (V/m). • RF Mode: Covers 20MHz-6GHz with a range of 0.01-19.999 milliwatts per square meter (mW/m²). • Large-Size Liquid Crystal Display (LCD): Provides clear and accurate readings, suitable for use in low-light environments. • Audio Indicator: ounds to help pinpoint the source of EMF. • Peak Hold Function: Captures fast pulses; PEAK is only used for RF measurement. • Long Battery Life: Works for more than 10 hours with a 3.7V battery, and the low battery display shows the battery symbol. 1. Hold the Meter as Shown: Note: Do not cover the sensor on the top of the meter with your hand or other objects. Readings may be higher when the meter is held due to the electromagnetic field buildup by the body. To get an accurate reading, hold the bottom of the meter. 2. Toggle Between Measurement Modes: Use the button to switch between measurement modes. To turn off the meter, press and hold the button. The instrument will automatically shut down after 15 minutes of inactivity. 3. Measure Electromagnetic Fields: To measure the influence of electromagnetic fields on the human body (or any conductive body), use the "W-MAG" weighted mode button. For direct field strength measurements, use the standard "MAG" mode. RF mode can be used for any radio or microwave measurement application. 4. Display Readings: The bottom of the display shows the measurement value and unit. The peak measurement value range is displayed above the peak icon. 5. Audio Control: Press the audio button to turn off the audio. Press the audio button again to turn it on. 6. Brightness Adjustment: Adjusting the brightness is not supported. It is recommended to read the display in low-light environments for better clarity. 7. Battery Charging: When the battery symbol appears on the LCD screen, the battery power is low and needs to be charged. After fully charging, the battery will last for about 10 hours of continuous use. Charging takes about 1 hour with a 5V 1A charger or about 30 minutes with a 5V 2A charger. Reading the LCD: On-site measurements display digital measurements and units, located at the bottom of the LCD display. Accurate Reading: • Field measurements are averaged to provide the most stable, accurate reading possible. • The display shows a circular bar graph representing the maximum range, corresponding to the field percentage measurement on a logarithmic scale. • On-site percentage indicator scales show 0%, 10%, 20%, 50%, 100%, and 200% of full scale. • The field percentage indicator is displayed above the field measurement at the top of the LCD. Capture Peak: • During the test, press the "MAX" button to start the MAX function. • The MAX symbol will be displayed on the upper left of the meter value. • A peak value can be captured every 10 milliseconds (ms). Stable Readings: • Turn on the meter and place it in a fixed position. • The readings will stabilize after the meter is placed and fixed. 1. Power On/Off/Alarm: • Switch on and off: Long press the button to turn on, and long press again to turn off. • Note: The alarm is on by default. If you find the alarm sound too noisy, press this button to turn off the alarm. Press this button again to turn the alarm back on when you need a reminder. • If you do not want to use the meter, press and hold the button for a few seconds to turn it off. 2. ELEC (Electric Field Intensity) Standard Frequency Mode: • Press the "ELEC" button to select the electric field intensity mode. The meter will display the Standard Frequency Response and the V/M symbol. • The default measurement mode when powered on is the electric field strength mode. • The electric field strength measurement function is mainly used to measure the electromagnetic radiation emitted by electric wires, electric lights, wall sockets, electrical switches, and ungrounded appliances at a frequency of 40Hz-100kHz. • In a quiet home or office environment, the electric field strength should be less than 50V/M. 3. W-ELEC (Electric Field Strength) Weighted Frequency Mode: • Press the "W-ELEC" button to select the electric field weighted frequency mode. The meter will display the Weighted Frequency Response and the V/M symbol. • This function is mainly used to measure the electromagnetic radiation emitted by electric wires, electric lights, wall sockets, electrical switches, and ungrounded appliances. • The measurement frequency should be greater than 60 Hz. Higher frequencies produce more radiation damage in the body. For example, at 60 Hz, the body receives 60 electric field pulses per second, while at 120 Hz, the body receives 120 pulses per second. Although the electric field remains the same, the damage to the body is twice as great at 120 Hz. • In a quiet home or office environment, the electric field strength should be less than 50 V/M. 4. MAG (Magnetic Field Strength) Standard Frequency Mode: • Press the "MAG" button to select the magnetic field strength mode. The meter will display the Standard Frequency Response and the mG symbol. • This function is used to measure the magnetic field radiation emitted by electric motors, appliances, wires, and power lines. • The measurement frequency is 40-200 Hz and should be less than 4.0 mG in low magnetic field environments. 5.
