BEFORE YOU USE YOUR CAMERA FOR THE FIRST TIME ⚫ Please connect the Micro-USB cable included with your Hitch Camera to the USB charging port on the back of the Hitch Camera (Fig-1, ①). Charge the battery for around 5 hours otherwise the camera may not function properly. ⚫ The Power & Charging Indicator (blue) Light (Fig-1, ③) blinking blue when charging, and all 4 lights stay solid blue when fully charged. ⚫ If the Power & Charging Indicator (blue) Light on the front of the Hitch Camera (Fig-1, ③) has only one blue bar left, this means the battery will discharge soon and needs to be charged. ⚫ Please always keep the hitch camera "UP" sign (Fig-1, ⑤) facing up when installing. ⚫ The Hitch Camera is tested and proven compatible with Android 7.0 or above systems and all IOS systems. This system is not compatible with Motorola or Google Pixel phones. *However, if you have any issues pairing the Hitch Camera with any device, please contact [email protected] and provide the model and system of your device so we can try to resolve the issue. PAGE 4 OF 13 3. HOW TO USE THE HITCH CAMERA 3-1. APP ICON DETAIS (see Fig-2): Fig-2 ① Click here to turned on/off Reverse reference line, HD preview, Auto open WIFI when open APP. ② Click here to choose the "W-Car_xxxxx" network. ③ Click here to flip the mirror image. ④ Click here to access your screenshot images and videos. ⑤ Click here to screenshot the image on your device. ⑥ Click here to record the video on your device. 3-2. PAIRING YOUR HITCH CAMERA WITH YOUR DEVICE 1). Download and Install - ANDROID SYSTEM: Search for "W-Car" in the Google APP store, download and install. PAGE 5 OF 13 - IOS SYSTEM: Search for "W-Car" in the Apple Store, download and install. 2). On the back of the camera (see Fig-1, ②), short press the ON/OFF Power Button to check the power. If the Power & Charging Indicator (see Fig-1, ③) is only one blue bar left, please charge it. 3). Press and hold the ON/OFF Power Button (see Fig-1, ②) for 3 to 5 seconds until the Power ON Indicator light (see Fig-1, ④) on the front of the camera turns solid red, this means the Hitch Camera is powered on and now broadcasting it's own Wi-Fi network signal. 4). Open the W-Car APP, click the WiFi icon "", turn on your device's "WLAN", search for the Hitch Camera's network: "W-Car_xxxxx" and connect to the " W- Car_xxxxx " network, Connection Password: 12345678 (see Fig-3). PAGE 6 OF 13 Fig-3 5). From the Hitch Camera should appear on your device display (see Fig-4). Fig-4 *Notice: If your device's Wi-Fi is not on, you will find the " " sign is red (see Fig-2). Therefore, please confirm your device's Wi-Fi is ON and also make sure your device's GPS is on and try to connect again. PAGE 7 OF 13 6). To turn off the Hitch Camera, just press and hold the ON/OFF Power Button for 3-5 seconds and wait until the Power ON Indicator red light goes out. (Tips: The Power & Charging Indicator blue lights will go out after turn off 3- 5 seconds.) 4. CONNECTION ISSUES If you have trouble: 1) Verify your W-Car APP is updated to the latest. 2) Verify the red indicator light on the front of the camera is solid red (powered ON). 3) Verify the blue Power & Charging Indicator light is greater than 1 bar. 4) For ANDROID, verify the device's Wi-Fi and GPS are both "ON". 5) For IOS, verify the device's Wi-Fi is on. 6) Verify your device's Wi-Fi is connected to the "W- Car_xxxxx" network. 7) The hitch camera doesn't work while charging. 8) If the steps above do not help, restart the Hitch Camera and try to connect the camera to another device. PAGE 8 OF 13 * Notice: ❶ When you reassemble the camera after separating it from the bracket, please make sure the circular clip is aligned with the bayonet, and then use the Fixed Knob to fasten the camera. ❷ Most of the installation angles DO NOT need to separate the camera and the bracket, just loosen the 2 Fixed Knob, adjust the camera to a suitable angle, and then tighten them. PAGE 9 OF 13 5. MOUNTING YOUR CAMERA Magnetically attach your hitch camera to any position you need, loosen the knob, adjust the angle of the lens, tighten the knob, and the installation is complete. The Hitch Camera has a magnetic base which works best when placed on a flat metal surface. *Notice: 1) Please avoid placing the camera on curved areas or shaped bumpers or the camera may fall and become damaged which is not covered by warranty. 2) If you have 2 Wireless Hitch Cameras (or more), each camera will continue to broadcast it's own individual Wi- Fi address without interfering with the other. In your device's available networks section, you will see separate Wi-Fi addresses for each Hitch Camera (see Fig-3), but you can only connect to one Hitch Camera Wi-Fi address at a time. For example, if you have 2 Hitch Cameras, you can not display the images of all 2 cameras at the same time on 1 device display. PAGE 10 OF 13 6. MORE HELPFUL NOTES - In cold weather, the batteries lose power quickly. - If the Hitch Camera image becomes unstable, most likely the battery is low. - For longer battery life and stable power, please do not store your camera in a cold environment for long periods of time. - After connecting to the device, please wait for about 5- 10 seconds before using it to allow the device to read network transmission data. - It is not recommended to use the camera while your vehicle is moving at high speed, it may fall off. - The camera is not a backup camera, but it is great for hooking up trailer / fifth wheels /…
