RF Exposure Info

China Certification ICT Co., Ltd (Dongguan) Report No.: CR230100834-00A Page 48 of 48 5. RF EXPOSURE EVALUATION 5.1 Applicable Standard According to§15.247(i) and §1.1310, systems operating under the provisions of this section shall be operated in a manner that ensure that the public is not exposed to radio frequency energy level in excess of the Commission’s guideline. According to KDB447498 D01 General RF Exposure Guidance v06: The 1-g and 10-g SAR test exclusion thresholds for 100 MHz to 6 GHz at test separation distances ≤ 50 mm are determined by: [(max. power of channel, including tune-up tolerance, mW)/(min. test separation distance, mm)] ꞏ [√f(GHz)] ≤ 3.0 for 1-g SAR and ≤ 7.5 for 10-g extremity SAR, where • f(GHz) is the RF channel transmit frequency in GHz • Power and distance are rounded to the nearest mW and mm before calculation • The result is rounded to one decimal place for comparison • 3.0 and 7.5 are referred to as the numeric thresholds in the step 2 below The test exclusions are applicable only when the minimum test separation distance is ≤ 50 mm and for transmission frequencies between 100 MHz and 6 GHz. When the minimum test separation distance is < 5 mm, a distance of 5 mm according to 5) in section 4.1 is applied to determine SAR test exclusion. When an antenna qualifies for the standalone SAR test exclusion of 4.3.1 and also transmits simultaneously with other antennas, the standalone SAR value must be estimated according to the following to determine the simultaneous transmission SAR test exclusion criteria:36 1) [(max. power of channel, including tune-up tolerance, mW) / (min. test separation distance, mm)]·[√ f(GHz)/x] W/kg, for test separation distances ≤ 50 mm; where x = 7.5 for 1-g SAR and x = 18.75 for 10-g SAR. 2) 0.4 W/kg for 1-g SAR and 1.0 W/kg for 10-g SAR, when the test separation distance is > 50 mm. 5.2 Measurement Result Radio Frequency (MHz) Conducted Output Power Including Tolerance Distance (mm) Calculated value Threshold (1-g) SAR Test Exclusion (dBm) (mW) BLE 2402-2480 4 2.51 5 0.79 3 Yes BDR/EDR 2402-2480 5 3.16 5 1 3 Yes Note: The max conducted power including tune-up tolerance was declared by the manufacturer. The BLE and BDR/EDR can transmits simultaneously. SAR BLE + SAR BDR/EDR = 0.79/7.5 + 1/7.5 = 0.24 < 1.6 W/kg Result: Compliant. The SAR test is not necessary. ===== END OF REPORT ====
