Results will vary depending on daily number of hours Solar Rock Speaker is exposed to direct sunlight. Main Controls (Back Panel) 1. Power button: Hold this button to power Solar Rock Speaker on and off. If you would like to disable (or enable) the “Power On” voice prompt, briefly press the Bluetooth and Link buttons at the same time. Note: Solar Rock Speaker will automatically power off after 15 minutes if no audio is playing. 2. Bluetooth button: Press and hold this button for 2 seconds to disconnect a paired Bluetooth device. 3. Link button: Press and hold this button for two seconds to switch between Master Mode and Linking Mode. See the sections that follow for more details on the two modes. 4. Charging Adapter Input: Insert the included charging adapter here to charge the Solar Rock Speaker battery. 5. Reset button: If Solar Rock Speaker is working abnormally, reboot Solar Rock Speaker using the power button. If this doesn’t work, shutdown the unit by gently pushing a narrow, sharp object into the Reset hole located here. 6. Charging LED: This LED will be solid red when the battery is charging and will turn off if the battery is fully charged or if no adapter is connected. 7. Bluetooth LED: This LED will blink while Solar Rock Speaker is searching for Bluetooth audio devices; it will be lit solid when a Bluetooth device is connected. 8. Link LED: This LED will be green when the speaker is in Link Mode and blue when the speaker is in Master Mode. Master Mode vs. Link Mode Solar Rock Speaker can be operated as a lone unit or while linked to additional Solar Rock Speaker speakers. How you’re using your speaker determines what mode it should be in: • If you would like to listen to music through only one Solar Rock Speaker, enter the speaker in Master Mode and connect it to a Bluetooth device. • If you would like to listen to music through multiple Solar Rock Speakers, enter one of the speakers in Master Mode and connect it to a Bluetooth device. Then enter the other speaker(s) in Link Mode and connect them to the master speaker. Press and hold the Link button to switch between Master and Link Mode. In Master Mode, the Link LED will be blue. In Link Mode, the LED will be green. When powered on, Solar Rock Speaker enters the last used mode. See the sections to the right for instructions on pairing and linking. Pairing with a Bluetooth Audio Device 1. Make sure the speaker is within range of your Bluetooth device (no more than 100 ft. / 30.5 m away). 2. Power on Solar Rock Speaker by holding down the Power button. 3. Make sure the speaker is in Master Mode by checking if the Link LED is blue. If the Link LED is green, press and hold the Link button for 2 seconds to switch from Master Mode to Link Mode. 4. If you are connecting your Bluetooth audio device for the first time, navigate to your device’s Bluetooth setup screen; then find and select Solar Rock Speaker. If you have previously connected the Bluetooth audio device with the speaker, the Bluetooth device and speaker should pair automatically. While the speaker is searching for a Bluetooth device to pair with, the Bluetooth LED will flash. Once the speaker is successfully paired with a Bluetooth device, the Bluetooth LED will be solidly lit. Note: If you have trouble pairing, select to “Forget” Solar Rock Speaker in your Bluetooth device’s settings and then try pairing again. To disconnect Solar Rock Speaker from a paired Bluetooth device, press and hold the Bluetooth button on the speaker. If you would like to disable (or enable) the Bluetooth pairing voice prompts, briefly press the Bluetooth and Link buttons at the same time. Linking Additional Speakers to the Master Speaker 1. Make sure the additional speaker(s) you would like to link to the master speaker is within range of the master speaker (no more than 100 feet / 30.5 m away). 2. Power on the additional speaker(s) you would like to link to the master speaker. 3. Make sure that the additional speaker(s) is in Link Mode by checking if the Link LED is green. If the Link LED is blue, press and hold the Link button for two seconds to switch from Master Mode to Link Mode. The speakers will then automatically link, and the audio playing from the master speaker will begin playing from the linked speaker(s).
