The pagers are used as an on-premise paging system to increase efficiency by alerting staff and customers who are waiting, usually for services or goods. SETUP AND USE The low profile devices are rechargeable, water resistant, and can flash, and vibrate when called by an LRS transmitter. To begin using your pagers, locate the 5 slot charging base near a power outlet and charge them for 16 hours. Charger Installation 1. Install the charger base per the directions received with the charger kits. 2. Charge pagers for 16 hours prior to first use. Note: Keep rechargeable pagers on charge even during extremely long periods of inactivity. WARNING: Only use the power supply that came with your charger. Damage caused from improper electrical connection including but not limited to the incorrect power supply is not covered under the standard warranty. If you’re uncertain about which power supply to use, contact our customer support department at 800.437.4996 PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS Battery Type: 3.7V Rechargeable Li ION polymer Battery Life: Approximately 3-5 years Battery Charge Life: Approximately 24 hours (depends on usage). Recharge time: 8 hours minimum from completely discharged. Operating Temperature: 0 – 85 F Dimensions: 3" x 21/4" x 3/4" 2 3 CLEANING LRS pagers are made from industrial-strength, polycarbonate material. However, this material is susceptible to hairline cracking if non-approved cleaners are used. When cleaning LRS pagers, you should only use ETHYL ALCOHOL (ethanol) or ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL-BASED CLEANERS. We have done extensive testing with available cleaning materials and have not found any issues with either ethyl alcohol (ethanol) or isopropyl alcohol (IPA). ALL other cleaners are not recommended for use on any of our pagers. To clean the equipment: 1. Take a clean cloth and an isopropyl-alcohol based cleaner 2. Wet the clean cloth with the isopropyl alcohol cleaner 3. Wipe down the pagers or equipment 4. When dry, place rechargeable pagers back on charge WARNING: Cleaning your equipment with any other non-approved cleaners can weaken plastic and cause hairline cracks. Pagers and equipment that are cleaned with unapproved cleaners and suffer cracking will not be covered under warranty. Do not submerge any LRS paging equipment in any type of liquid as this will also damage the equipment and is not covered under the standard warranty. OPERATION When a pager is removed from a charging slot it will boot up and vibrate showing the following screen. Screen shows version firmware followed by 3 programming codes C1, C2 C3 • C1 – Pager Number • C2 – All Pager Number • C3 – System ID FW: 1.00 C1: [0] 106 C2: [0] 911 C3: [0] 0 4 These values can be re-programmed Over-the-Air by putting the pager into OTA mode, described later in the Menu options section. Next screen after bootup will show starting from top and left • Programming Window Bar (is shown if enabled and on for 30 Seconds) • Battery level Icon • Pager Number At this point the LRS Alpha Pager II is ready to receive messages. MENU SETTINGS Menu settings are accessed using buttons on right hand side of pager. All buttons have 3 actions, • Single Press • Hold 1 second - Page Up (Top Button) • Hold 1 second - Page Down (Bottom Button) • Hold 2 second - Return to previous menu Top button displays up to 32 stored messages Middle Button will bring a blank or sleeping LCD to active display, or make a selection inside a menu screen. Bottom Button displays 6 menu categories and optional settings underneath each category. 5 System Options • Delete all messages • Date • Time • Pager ID - View Only • System ID - View Only • All Page ID - View Only Colors All Color Settings are Red-Green-Blue RGB565, meaning values range from 31 -63 -31.
