AccuSom with RFID Finger Sensor Assembly User Manual • Do not use near, place or drop water or other liquid on unit. • Do not use an extension cord. • Operating temperature: 32-104 degrees Fahrenheit- The unit must not be used will charging. Description & Restrictions The AccuSom Home Sleep Test is a medical device used in the diagnostic evaluation of adults suspected of having sleep apnea. . AccuSom is a prescription device, and therefore Federal Law restricts this device to sale or use by a physician, or as prescribed by, a physician. FCC This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures. -Increase the separation between the AccuSom and the receiver. - IMPORTANT! Changes or modifications not expressly approved by NovaSom, Inc. could void the users’s authority to operate the equipment. The AccuSom device-with RFID Finger Sensor Assembly is not intended for use by persons with pacemakers or persons with internal cardiac defibrillators (ICD). The RFID Bracelet will be secured to your wrist prior to testing by your physician’s office or designated clinic. The RFID Reader (black box) on the RFID finger sensor must be positioned over the RFID disc in the bracelet. Make sure the word “NovaSom” on the bracelet is under the RFID Reader (black box) on the Finger Sensor. If the bracelet will not stay in place, use the tape provided with the AccuSom. Put tape over the strap and bracelet on each side to secure If the voice prompt says “Check Finger Sensor” makes sure that the RFID bracelet is under the Finger Sensor RFID Reader (black box). Make sure that the Finger sensor is connected to the AccuSom. The RFID finger sensor may take up to 15 minutes to acquire the finger sensor signal as it needs to read the RFID disk in the bracelet. If the RFID bracelet is not positioned correctly under the RFID Reader on the finger sensor during testing the Finger Sensor will disconnect and data recording will stop. The Finger Sensor LED will flash yellow within 40 minutes. The device will discontinue recording unless the finger sensor signal is acquired. Use tape provided to hold the bracelet in place if necessary. Tape over the wrist strap and bracelet on either side of your arm to secure.
