Users Manual

Product Safety & Warranty Keep the device (“Product”) away from dust, water, damp areas, precipitation and humidity. Dust, water, liquids, precipitation and humidity may cause overheating, electrical leakage, and/or Product failure. The Product, battery, charger and AC adapter are not waterproof. Keep them away from liquid, fuels and chemicals. If the Product gets wet, do not place the Product in an oven, microwave or dryer, as this will damage the Product and could cause a fire or explosion. Only use the battery and charger approved by the manufacturer. Using other brands may cause battery leakage, overheating, explosion or even fire. Do not use the Product where it might cause danger. Do NOT text and drive. Battery Use • Handle and store batteries properly to avoid injury or damage. Most battery issues arise from improper handling and, particularly, from the continued use of damaged batteries. • Do not disassemble or open crush, bend or deform, puncture or shred • Do not modify or remanufacture, attempt to insert foreign objects into the battery, immerse or expose to water or other liquids, expose to fire, explosion or other hazard. • Only use the battery for the system for which it is specified • Only use the battery with a charging system that has been qualified with the system per CTIA Certification Requirements for Battery System Compliance to IEEE 1725. Use of an unqualified battery or charger may present a risk of fire, explosion, leakage, or other hazard. • Do not short circuit a battery or allow metallic conductive objects to contact battery terminals. • Replace the battery only with another battery that has been qualified with the system per this standard, IEEE-Std-1725. Use of an unqualified battery may present a risk of fire, Important Safety Information 23 explosion, leakage or other hazard. • Only authorized service providers shall replace battery. (If the battery is non-user replaceable). • Promptly dispose of used batteries in accordance with local regulations • Battery usage by children should be supervised. • Avoid dropping the device or battery. If the device or battery is dropped, especially on a hard surface, and the user suspects damage, take it to a service center for inspection. • Improper battery use may result in a fire, explosion, or other hazard. • The maximum operating temperature is 40°C while the watch is in charging status and it’s 50°C while the watch is Non-charging status. Note: The battery shall only be serviced by the manufacturer. CAUTION: Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries in accordance with local regulations. Health Warnings • If you have a pacemaker or other internal electronic device, consult your physician before using a heart rate monitor and/or any other electronic device. • The Orbic device heart rate monitor feature omits green light and flashes occasionally, consult your physician if you have epilepsy or are sensitive to flashing lights. • Be sure to always consult your physician before beginning or modifying any physical exercise programs. The Orbic device, accessories, heart rate monitor, and related data are intended to be used for recreational purposes only and not for medical purposes and are not intended to diagnose, monitor, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Please see your physician for any diagnosis. The heart rate readings are for reference only, and no responsibility is accepted for the 4 5 consequences of any erroneous readings. While the heart rate monitor technology of the Orbic device typically provides an accurate estimate of a user’s heart rate, there are inherent limitations with the technology that may cause some of the heart rate readings to be inaccurate under certain circumstances, including the user’s physical characteristics, fit of the device, and type and intensity of activity. The Orbic device relies on sensors that track your movement and other metrics. The data and information provided by this device is intended to be a close estimation of your activity and the metrics tracked, but may not be completely accurate, including step, distance, sleep, heart rate, and calorie data. Outdoor Activity Warnings • Your Orbic device is able to suggest various outdoor activities, such as biking, hiking, walking and running. Be sure to follow all the rules and guidelines of the pathway you are traveling on. • Ensure that you have the proper gear and supplies for your activity before navigating along unfamiliar paths and trails. • Make sure your bicycle, equipment and hardware are properly maintained and that all parts are correctly installed. • Always use your best judgment and exercise common sense when making off-road navigational decisions. The Orbic device is designed only to provide suggestions for outdoor activities. It is not a replacement for attentiveness and proper preparation for outdoor activities. Do not follow the route suggestions if they suggest an illegal course or would put you in an unsafe situation. • Always be aware of your surroundings and be mindful of your route. Always carefully compare information displayed on the device to all available navigation sources, including trail signs, trail conditions, weather conditions, and other factors that may affect safety while exercising outdoor. • Always be mindful of the effects of the environment and the inherent risks of the activity before embarking on off-road activities, especially the impact that weather and weather- related trail conditions can have on the safety of your activity. Cleaning and Maintenance The Product, the battery and the charger are not waterproof. Do not use them in places with high humidity like a bathroom and also avoid spilling any liquids on the Product, battery or charger.
