SUPPORT The more we can help you, the better. If you have any questions or suggestions, please email us at [email protected]. We'd love to hear from you! www.sunsprite.com © GoodLux Technology, LLC. All rights reserved. Patent pending. WARNING: Do not use if you have a pacemaker. SunSprite attaches with a strong magnet. 100% solar- powered No batteries to replace Attaches anywhere Water- resistant Press the button on the side to see your progress toward your daily goal. THE DISPLAY SunSprite transmits all of your personal light data wirelessly using low-energy Bluetooth Smart, so there's no need to plug the device into your computer or phone. There are 10 lights, each representing 10% of your progress. So if seven light up, you’re 70% of the way to your daily goal. If the next LED is blinking, it means that you're in light that's bright enough to be beneficial to your health. When all 10 LEDs light up, congratulations! You've received the daily medically proven amount of light to improve your energy, mood, and sleep. If your SunSprite is synced to an iPhone, your progress will automatically reset overnight. If your SunSprite is NOT synced to an iPhone, you should clear your progress every night by pressing and holding the button. To sync, open the SunSprite app and push the button on the side of your SunSprite. Once synced, you can view all of your personal trends and progress to continually improve your exposure. SYNCING YOUR DATA 95% 70% of daily goal One light represents 10% of daily goal It’s best to get your light in the morning (ideally within two hours of waking up) and avoid bright light before going to bed. Our app will help you find the optimal time of day to get your light. WEARING YOUR SUNSPRITE FCC NOTICE SunSprite uses a flexible magnetic clasp, so you can clip it anywhere. It’s strong enough to stay on thick winter jackets but won’t pinch your fingers or leave marks. In fact, it’s kind of fun to play with. SunSprite works best if you wear it in a spot that gets roughly the same amount of light your eyes do. Our favorite examples: collar, shirt, shirt pocket, sleeve, jacket, backpack strap, purse strap, belt or pants pocket (facing forward). This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules: Operation is subject to the following conditions: THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND Doctors recommend the equivalent of at least 10,000 lux for 30 minutes each morning (dimmer light takes longer). SunSprite measures both your lux levels and exposure times to help you understand and track it all. The best benefits of bright light − improved energy, mood, and sleep − are caused by light entering your eyes (not by light absorption through your skin). So wearing sunscreen does not block the benefits of bright light or affect SunSprite's tracking. Please speak with your doctor about the use of sunscreen, and follow the instructions on your sunscreen packaging for proper application. Congratulations on purchasing a SunSprite! You’re one step closer to becoming a brighter you. INSTRUCTION GUIDE SunSprite is a next-generation health wearable that tracks your light and UV exposure to increase your energy, boost your mood, sharpen your focus, and improve your sleep. WHAT IS SUNSPRITE? Decades of medical research prove that bright light entering your eye hits special receptors on your retina, sending electrical impulses to the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN). The SCN controls your circadian rhythm (your body's clock) and regulates your mood and sleep hormones. ABOUT BRIGHT LIGHT GETTING STARTED Download iPhone App No iPhone? If you have an iPhone 4S or later, follow these simple steps to download the SunSprite app for customized tracking and coaching: You can also use SunSprite without the mobile app by clipping it to your clothes and tracking your bright light using the LED display. See “THE DISPLAY” section for instructions. SunSprite is in “sleep mode” for shipping, so you will need to expose the device to bright light to wake it up (first time only).
