Shielded HDMI Cable and shielded VGA Cable with two ferrite cores must be used to comply with the FCC Part 15 Class B limit. User will get these two cables without additional charge from the distributor. Unless otherwise specified, "device", as used in this document, indicates the device and all accessories. Basic Precautions . z Keep the device dry and prevent collision with other objects during storage, transportation, and operation z Do not attempt to dismantle the device. Should any fault develop requiring technical assistance, contact an authorized maintenance center. z Without WD prior written consent, no organization or individual is permitted to make an y changes to the stru cture or design of the device. z While using the device, observe all applicable laws, directives arid regulations while ensuring such usage does not infringe on the legal rights of any other party. Environmental Precautions z Keep the device away from heat sources and open flames, such as an electric heater or candle z Keep the device away from any household appliances with strong magnetic or electric fields, such as a microwave oven, refrigerator or mobile phone. Place the device on a stable surface. z Follow the manufactures instructions carefully when installing the device. z Place the device in a well‐ventilated area out of direct sunlight. z Do not place any objects, such as a candle or a water container, or the top of the device. If a foreign objector liquid gets into the devi ce, disconnect the power su pply immediately and unplug all the cables connected to the device. After ensuring power is completely cut off from the device, contact an authorized maintenance center. z Do not place the device near a water source or in a damp area. z Keep the device clean, free of du st and stains. z Do not place the device on or near in flammable materials such as foam. Operating Precautions z Do not allow children to play with the device or its accessories. Swallowing the accessories may be fatal. z Use only the provided accessories, such as the power adapter and battery, or those recommended by the manufacturer. z Make sure that the device does not get wet If water gets into the device, disconnect the power supply immediately and unplug all the cables connected to the device, such as the power cable and network cable. After ensuring power is completely cut off from the device, contact an authorized main tenance center. z The power supply of the device must meet the input voltage specifications of the device. 4 z Before plugging or unplugging any cables, shut down the device and disconnect the power supply. z While plugging or unplugging any cables, make sure that your hands are dry. z Do not step on, pull, or stretch any cables as doing so may damage the cables or cause the device to malfunction. z Do not use old or dama ged cab les. z Before using the device, ensure that the power supply in your home is properly grounded. Note that the ground cable must not be connected to the neutral wire of the power supply. z Ensure that the signal wire does not c arry current, that the signal wire shielding is pr operly grounded, and that the power supply protection ware is grounded as failure to do so may result in an electrical fire. z Before using the device, ensure that the appliances and network cable connected to the device are grounded properly. A sp litter is recomme nded to connect devices. z Keep the power plug clean and dry, to prevent electric shock or other injuries. z During a thunderstorm, disconnect the device from the power supply and unplug all the cables that are connected to the device, such as the power cable z If the de vice will not be used fo r a long time, power off the device, disconnect the power supply, and unplug all the cables connected to the device, such as the power cable z Do not look into the infrared transmitting interface on the remote control without eye protection z If smoke, noise, or odor is e mitted from the devic e, stop using mid power off the device immediately, disconnect the power supper and unplug all cables, such as the power cable and network cable. Contact an authorized maintenance center for repair. z Make sure that no objects (such as metal shavings) enter the device thr ough the heat dissip ation vent z Do not scratch or otherwise damage the shell of the device. Flaking or peeling of the paint may lead to skin allergy or malfunctions of the device. If paint peels or flakes drops into the device, a short circuit may occur z If th e device's fuse burns out rep l ace it with a fuse of the same model and specifications Cleaning Precautions z Before cleaning the device, power it off, disconnect the power supply and unplug all cables connected to the device, such as the power cable and network cable. z Do not cleaning the device, with any cleaning solution or cleanser spray. Use a piece of soft cloth to gently wipe down the device if du sty or smudg ed. Environmental Protection Do not dispose of the device in a garbage can.
