Jolt Sensor User Manual Online: ● Download the Jolt Sensor App from the App store (iOS) or the Google Play store (Android) ● Remove the Jolt Sensor from its packaging and use the included micro USB cable to connect the device to an FCC compliant AC USB power adapter. This will turn the device on for the first time. Leave the sensor plugged in until the pairing setup has been completed. ● Open the app on your phone and navigate to the “add device” menu option. ● You should see the sensor appear on the “add device” screen. ● Select the sensor to pair with the phone and then follow the onscreen instructions to enter user information. ● The app will then indicate that the sensor has been completely setup. ● Leave the sensor plugged in until the red light stops blinking. This will indicate that it is fully charged. ● The device is now ready to measure accelerations. ● The sensor is always on, but in order to register events, you must have Bluetooth enabled on your mobile device and have the Jolt Sensor app running in the background. In support of this request, Jolt Athletics Inc. submits the following information. CONFIDENTIAL FILES Conf BlkDia J1.pdf Conf OpDes J1.pdf Conf Schem J1.pdf 1. Identification of the specific information for which confidential treatment is sought: The materials set forth in the Operational Description, block diagram, parts list, and Schematics, which are segregated, from the non-confidential exhibits of the application, are those for which confidentiality is sought. 2. Identification of the Commission proceeding in which the information was submitted or a description of the circumstances giving rise to the submission: The proceeding is that involving the application for equipment authorization (certification) under FCC ID No: 2AENO-J1 3. Explanation of the degree to which the information is commercial or financial, or contains a trade secret or is privileged: This material includes a detailed theory of operation, circuit diagrams, and schematic. As such, this material is treated as highly confidential business information. ROGERS LABS, INC. 4405 West 259 th Terrace Louisburg, KS 66053 913 837-3214 Page 2 of 2 4. Explanation of the degree to which the information concerns a service that is subject to competition: The material for which confidentiality is sought is employed in the design and manufacture of this transmitting equipment that is offered on a highly competitive basis. Customers for this equipment have a variety of competing sources. 5. Explanation of how disclosure of the information could result in substantial competitive harm: Disclosure would, in effect, give away the fruits of the labors of Jolt Athletics Inc.’s engineering personnel, who have designed the equipment and the manufacturing process. Disclosure would also offer competitors additional unwarranted insight into the state of the product development, thereby allowing competitors an advantage, not available to Jolt Athletics Inc. 6. Identification of any measures taken by the submitting party to prevent unauthorized disclosure: The information for which confidential treatment is sought is kept confidential by Jolt Athletics Inc. and not made available to third parties except pursuant to non-disclosure agreements. 7. Identification of whether the information is available to the public and the extent of any previous disclosure of the information to third parties: To the knowledge of those preparing this application, the information has not been disclosed publicly heretofore. While the general theory of operation of this equipment has been the subject of numerous disclosures in industry and standards groups as well as in rule making proceedings of the FCC, the protection sought is narrowly drawn and pertains to certain specific implementations of this radio technology. 8. Justification of the period during which the submitting party asserts that the material should not be available for public disclosure: This material should not be disclosed for at least 25 years. While improvements in design are made relatively frequently, disclosure of the design information would lead to insights into both design and manufacturing techniques that could have an adverse competitive effect for many years to come. As such, it is important that the design not be made available to unauthorized persons who might attempt to use knowledge of the design to compromise the applications for which the equipment will be employed. Should you require any further information, please contact the undersigned. Thank you for your consideration in this matter. Sincerely, Scot Rogers

Federal Communications Commission Authorization and Evaluation Division 1435 Oakland Mills Road Columbia, MD 21046 Regarding FCC ID label placement for this application (FCC ID: 2AENOJ1), Jolt Athletics Inc. wishes to place the compliance statement and FCC Identifier on the packaging and in the user’s manual. This device is very small with mostly curved surfaces that would make it very difficult for placement of label with legible text (46 point font). Additionally, the material on the outside of the device is soft and subject to wear in the outdoor environments in which it is used. The regulatory information will be presented on the packaging in such a way that the user will see it immediately upon opening the package. The same information will be placed in our user’s manual that users can access online even after they have discarded the packaging. Presenting the information in this manner will ensure that it is easily accessible and legible to the end user and that it does not wear off of the device after it is in the field. Sincerely, Seth Berg Vice President Hardware, Jolt Athletics Inc.
Federal Communications Commission Authorization and Evaluation Division 1435 Oakland Mills Road Columbia, MD 21046 Regarding FCC ID label placement for this application, Jolt Athletics Inc. wishes to have the label encoded in software with the required mobile application. This device is small and typically worn inside a helmet or headband. The equipment must be paired with a mobile device running software designed by Jolt Athletics Inc. and the FCC label information will be easily accessible through this application. Upon initially pairing the equipment with the mobile phone the user will be presented with a screen displaying the FCC ID. This location will offer and ensure the end user opportunity to view the label before operation. The identifier label will be readily viewable by the user through the mobile application by navigating to the “settings” menu and choosing the “about” option. The equipment will be used in outdoor environments and will experience wear in typical applications which would result in any labelling on the device to wear over time. Presenting this information in the mobile application will avoid this wear. Below we have outlined how our elabel application conforms to all requirements as outlined in KDB_784748 D02: II. Guidance for Devices with Integrated Screen Using ELabel A.Information to be displayed 1.The FCC ID will be displayed within the free, required Android or iOS mobile application. 2.On the same screen we will also display the compliance statement as such: This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. B.Access to the required information on the elabel 1.Anyone with the free android or iOS application will be able to access the required information. No access codes will be needed. The information will be available in two steps on the devices menu. The user will press the “Settings” option in the menu, and then the “About” option in the settings submenu. 2.No special accessories are required to access the required information 3.The specific instructions to access the required labeling information will be included in the detailed User’s manual found on our website. Instructions to get to the website will be included on the device packaging. 4.Please find instructions for how to access the required labeling information in our included User’s manual. C.Labeling for importation and purchasing 1. All required labeling information will be included on the packaging for each individual device. D. Other considerations 1. Jolt Athletics Inc. will program the required labeling information within the mobile application. This application will be secured so that modifications by third parties are not possible 2. All regulatory information required on the packaging will be be provided according to the rules even if it is displayed electronically. 3. The only regulatory information we are displaying in the elabel is the FCC ID and model number so there will be no need to distinguish between information on the surface of the product and information required for the User’s Manual or on the packaging. 4. Not applicable as the device does not require the DoC. III. Devices Approved as Certified Transmitter Modules 1. The device only functions with a host device (Android or iOS mobile phone or tablet). As per section III, part 2, the regulatory information will be factory encoded in the iOS and Android software. This information will be inaccessible and locked from third parties. It will display: “Contains FCC ID 2AENOJ1” Sincerely, Seth Berg Vice President Hardware, Jolt Athletics Inc.
