How to turn on/off the brightbeacon To activate the brightbeacon, Turn on the On/Off Button for a moment until the LED light flashing. To deactivate the unit, repeat the same procedure. 4‐2. How to deploy To deploy the brightbeacon, Tear off the back of viscose, Sticking to the wall or ceiling 5. Using the Config APP to config the BrightBeacon The Config APP is available on AppStore （https://itunes.apple.com/cn/app/brightbeacon-pei-zhi-ruan/id917081028?mt=8）, The APP can control these properties： TX power, TX interval, uuid, major, minor, measuredpower, batterycheck interval, temperature check interval, light check interval, name , mode, light_sleep 5‐1. Finding the right TX power TX power: (-40dBm) being the lowest level and (+4dBm) being the highest level , Setting adjustment depends on different demand. -40dBm is about 3m away, and +4dBm can be about 100m away, When the environment is more obstructions, you may need to adjust the intensity level upwards. Adjusting the distance accuracy for different Rf environment TX interval and measuredpower affect the calculation of the distance, The lower TX interval, the more stable signal, but power consumption is higher, all you have to weigh the pros and cons; The measuredpower is the benchmark calculation, it is the RSSI value 1 meter away from the BrightBeacon, So you can be in a real or regarded as 1 m away to calibrate the value. 5‐3. Checking the status using LED indicator When the BrightBeacon is turn on the LED flashes few seconds. The LED will flash when use the Config APP to connect. The LED also indicates battery life level. Two flashes at a time = needs replace the battery down. 6. Maintenance 6‐1. Storage maintenance Your brightbeacon should be turned off before extended storage. Do not transport the brightbeacon exposed in extreme climates. 6‐2. Troubleshooting If you suspect your brightbeacon is malfunctioning please refer to the “Troubleshooting Guide” before sending your unit in for service. Troubleshooting Guide (1) My brightbeacon cannot be connected. - Make sure the brightbeacon is turned on and the LED flashs. - Be sure use the Config App with iPhone 4S/IOS6+ or Android4.3+. (2) The brightbeacon has no range, or the rssi is weak when the brightbeacon is closer. - Check to see if your TX power or measuredpower setting is right 8. WARRANTY AND REPAIR INFORMATION BrightBeacon company provides the original purchaser with a LIMITED WARRANTY. Limited Warranty begins from the date of purchase. For the first two months coverage is for both parts and labor, on all our products purchased new. Accessories have a one- year warranty from the date of purchase.
