Read through all these ins tructions BEFORE start ing (Do not use a Batt ery Tender Harness to Power Heated Clothing!!! ) 1.Turn Off the Vehicle, Generato r or Any Charging source for th e Battery 2.At th e Battery, 3.Attach th e positi ve ring te rminal fr om the battery harness to th e positi ve terminal on th e battery. The positi ve ring terminal can be distinguished fr om th e negati ve by th e fact th at i t has a fu se att ached to th e Wire. Reattach th e bolt to th e battery and tighten. Attach th e negative ring te rminal fr om th e battery harness to th e negati ve te rminal on th e batte ry. The negati ve ring terminal can be disti nguished fr om th e positi ve by th e fact th at i t does NOT have a fu se attached to th e Wire. Reattach th e bolt to the battery and tighten. Secure th e wire harness with cable straps. Be certa in the wire harness and all cords are not pinched. The connecting plug should be easily accessible but clear of all moving parts . Test th e Connection! Plug th e Receiver to th e Batt ery Harness, if you have the “Power In” polarity reversed, then the Red LED will become Non-flashing Yellow in color. CAUTION: It i s possible to overload your charging system by adding too many electrical accessories. If your combined accessories use more electr ica l current than your charging system can produce, th e consumption can discharge th e battery leading to electr ic system damage. Ask your dealer fo r advice. 4. 5. 6. 1. Once you have Synced th e Remote Control, it works just like th e other Heat-trollers. 2. On th e Dual Remote , Turn th e R ED Knob on to sta rt power to th e Liner, Yellow to th e Secondary Ite m. 3. In order to extend th e Remote Control Battery Life, th e L ED only tu rns on when th e switc h is mov ed. It will sta y on for about a second after you move th e switc h, Unless th e battery is getti ng low. In this case, it will double blink after you move th e switch. 4. The Battery should last a season and is replaced by removing th e screws th at hold the lid in place. The batteries are 2 AAA batteries. a. First Disconnect th e Ground (-) Cable fr om th e Battery b. Then Disconnect th e Plus (+) Cable fr om th e Batt ery Instructions for Installing Battery Harness Getti ng the Heat-troller Receiver & Remote to Talk to Each Other Use Instructions for the Remote Control 1. It is easier if you do this befo re installing th e Receiver in the Liner. Make sure the receiver is unplugged fr om Power. Using either Knob, Turn the Remote on and th en off 3 times, 6 clic ks, allowing th e L ED to light between each click. You should end with th e switch in th e Off positi on. (if the switch was turned on/off already at any time and not left on to clear the counter, it can affect the count) The L ED on th e R emote will sta rt double-blinking This mode lasts about 10 sec. If you turn it on/off one more time, it will end the sync mode. While th e Remote is double-blinking, plug in the Receiver to power. You only h ave 10 seconds to plug it to Power while th e LEDs are double Blinking. The units will pair up a uto matically and you wil l know th at th ey are pair ed when th e heat to th e liner sto ps if you left th e switc h in th e off position. Once Synced you should never have to do it again. 2. 3. 4.
