Users Manual

CC-418W TRANSMITTER USERS MANUAL Functional Description: The CC-418W Radio Frequency (RF) transmitter is designed to operate with all Digital Care Systems, Inc. products. The CC- 418W has a large push button labeled “EMERGENCY CALL” and can be manually activated by pressing this button. Activation of the transmitter is via the large button or pulling on the pull-cord. The CC-418W is NOT waterproof and must be kept away from water. Each CC-418W transmits a unique code number and will only activate the receiving device for which it is trained to. Operation: Pressing the “EMERGENCY CALL” button on the front of the unit or pulling on the pull-cord will cause the CC-418W to transmit. The button must be held for at least one half (1/2) second before transmission will begin. This helps prevent accidental activation. Transmission will be indicated by the RED light on the front of the unit and 3 short beeps. The duration of the transmission is limited to a 5 second period, regardless of how long the button is held. The button must be released and pressed again to cause a second transmission. This feature saves battery life while still assuring adequate transmission time to be received by the receiving device. Limited Warranty and Disclaimer: Digital Care Systems Inc. warrants the CC-418W transmitter for a period of three (3) year from the date of purchase to be free from defects in materials and workmanship. Liability shall be limited to the repair or replacement of the equipment. Any consequential damages arising from the use of this product are the sole responsibility of the user. Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to all purchasers. Digital Care Systems, Inc.’s LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE COST OF THE PRODUCT AND IN NO EVENT SHALL Digital Care Systems, Inc. BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR THE INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT OR FOR THE BREACH OF THIS OR ANY OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, WHATSOEVER. Some states do not allow this exclusion, so this limitation may not apply to all purchasers.
