Battery Compartment Connecting Mobile Phones & Tablets • Switch on the speaker & you will hear a voice prompt “ Bluetooth Mode” and the Blue LED will rapidly flash. This indicates the speaker is in pairing mode. Scanning & pairing could range from 1 min to 2 mins to complete. • On your handheld device, switch on Bluetooth and enter into Scanning mode till you see UM0018 appear on your choice of options. Select the model UM0018. • The voice prompt will confirm the pairing. • Now you can use the music stored on your device to play music on the speaker. Next track / Previous Track / Volume can be controlled both from the speaker as well as your device. • The UM0018 has a memory function. If you want to pair other mobile devices, please disconnect the Bluetooth from previous mobile phone or long press the play/pause (4) button for re-paring. FM Radio Function 1.Short press the Button 'Mode' (1) on control panel to select FM Tuner 2.Voice prompt will confirm ‘Radio Mode’. 3. The handstrap cum antenna will ensure a stronger signal. For optimum strength you should be outdoors. 4.Press and hold the Play/Pause button (4) for 2 seconds & the unit will begin to scan & auto save all the FM frequencies. 5.To toggle between stored channels, use buttons (2) & (3) Voice Calls on the Hi-Q Lite 1. Your phone must be paired to be able to use the speaker for handsfree voice calls 2. When receiving a phone call the music will mute & you will hear the ring tone on the speaker. 3.To Accept the call Short press to Play/Pause key (4) or accept the call from your device, the voice call can will be heard on the speaker .To end call Short press the Play/Pause key or end the call from your device. Charging the speaker There is a Mini usb charging cable provided in the box. Use any standard USB Travel charger to power up & charge the speaker. The red LED will light up in charging state and turn off when the charging is complete. Connecting with a PC / Laptop. Please ensure your Laptop / PC is Bluetooth enabled, Switch on the wireless BT switch or from the Control Panel and then follow the same steps for pairing as given above for mobile phone. If the Software drivers are not updated pairing may be an issue. In that case please update your drivers. Frequently Asked Questions Problem Solution Bluetooth paring failed Check if the speaker is switched on. Make sure the speaker is not paired with any other device Pairing may also fail if there are too many BT devices ON. Speaker Volume is too lower or Sound Distortion Check the Volume of youre device Reset the volume of Bluetooth Speaker. Check if the battery is low & charge it. Make sure the speaker is not more than 10ft away from the device. Note • The battery can be replaced ( BL 5C) • Please do not use any other replacement battery as it may damage the speaker • DO NOT to expose the unit to extreme heat or keep in directly in the sun for long periods. • Hands-free voice calls are only possible if your device is paired with the speaker . The quality of the call will depend on your network operator Blueooth technology is a bidirectional transmiting protocol & transmiting distance should not be more than 10ft. • Some Music players are without automatic switching play function.In this case you may hear a Pop or Click sound between songs. • When facing an issue pairing the speaker to your device, delete all previous devices paired on your phone and follow the pairing guidelines again. • The sound quality of the tracks are determined by your download quality, distance from the speaker, battery life on the speaker.
