Quick Start Guide Highlights Bluetooth Speaker The Highlights Bluetooth Speaker features great sound and includes a built-in microphone for easy hands free calling. Simply pair your hand held device with the Highlights Bluetooth Speaker to easily answer calls while enjoying your favorite music. Includes 1 x Bluetooth Speaker 1 x Micro USB Charging Cable Speaker Controls (+): Quick Press Plays next song; Press and hold down to increase volume (-): Quick Press Plays previous song; Press and hold down to decrease volume (>II): Quick Press Plays and Pauses; for incoming call Quick Press to answer call; Long Press to call back the last number dialed on your mobile phone A): Micro USB Recharge Port B): Power Switch Charging Battery Before your first use follow these instructions to fully charge the Highlights Bluetooth Speaker 1- Move the “On/Off” switch to the “Off” Position 2- Plug the Micro USB charging cable into the speaker and a powered USB port. While charging the White indicator LED light will be laminated. When the White LED light turns off the Speaker will be fully charged Playing Music 1- Move the “On/Off” switch to the “On” position 2- The Highlights Bluetooth Speaker will make a loud series of beeps and Blue LED indicator light will blink rapidly, indicating that the speaker is attempting to pair/connect to your device. If a device is not in pairing/connected mode after 30 seconds, the speaker will switch to sleep mode. Turn the speaker off and then on again in order to pair/connect with your device. 3- On your mobile device select Bluetooth mode “On” search for Bluetooth devices and select the Speaker 4- The Highlights Bluetooth Speaker will beep and the Blue LED light will blink slower indicating that the Speaker and mobile device is paired/connected Note: You can control play/pause, go to next song, previous song all from your mobile device Note: If the Highlights Bluetooth Speaker is moved out of range or runs out of power and drops the connection to your mobile device, you will then need to recharge or move the Highlights Bluetooth Speaker closer to your mobile device and return to Step 1 above to re-establish the Bluetooth connection Answering a Call with the Highlights Bluetooth Speaker 1- Establish a Bluetooth connection between your mobile device and the Highlights Bluetooth Speaker as described in the section above “Playing Music” 2- To answer a call press the Call Button (>II) once 3- To end a call press the Call Button (>II) once Specifications  Dimensions: 2.32” H x 2.44” D x 1.85” D (Suction Cup Base)  Battery Voltage: 3.7V  Battery Capacity: 300mAH  Recharging Voltage: 5V  Speaker Driver: 13pin inner magnetic 4Ω/3W  Frequency Response: 180Hz – 16KHz  Wireless Range: up to 33 ft.  Bluetooth V2.1 + EDR Compliant  Speaker Sensitivity: ≥91dB  Speaker Impedance: 8Ω Warning: Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:  Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.  Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.  Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.  Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. For more detail information pls. refer to the user manual. Modulation Type: GFSK, π/4DQPSK, 8DPSK. Bluetooth Version: 2.1+EDR. Antenna Type: Integral antenna. Antenna Gain: -1dBi. The nominal conducted output power specified: -12.0dBm (+/-3dB). The nominal radiated output power (e.i.r.p) specified: -13.0dBm (+/- 3dB) According to the KDB 447498: The maximun peak radiated emission for the EUT is 82.8dBμV/m at 3m in the frequency 2402MHz The EIRP = [(FS*D) ^2 / 30] mW =-12.43dBm which is within the production variation. The minimum peak radiated emission for the EUT is 79.9dBμV/m at 3m in the frequency 2480MHz The EIRP = [(FS*D) ^2 / 30] mW = -15.33dBm which is within the production variation. The maximun conducted output power specified is -9.0dBm = 0.13 mW The source- based time-averaging conducted output power = 0.13 * Duty Cycle mW (where Duty Cycle < 100%) < 0.13mW The SAR Exclusion Threshold Level: = 3.0 * (min. test separation distance, mm) / sqrt(freq. in GHz) = 3.0 * 5 / sqrt (2.480) mW = 9.5 mW Since the source-based time-averaging conducted output power is well below the SAR low threshold level, so the EUT is considered to comply with SAR requirement without testing.
