STREAMLABS CC3230 Limited Module The StreamLabs® CC3230 Limited Module incorporates the latest Wi-Fi 4 radio from Texas Instruments and powers the latest StreamLabs products in the monitoring of water leaks. The Limited Module is powered by 3.3V DC provided through its board header. Any host device using this module should have appropriate power circuitry to ensure that +3.3Vdc +/- 5% is supplied to the module. Note that StreamLabs will have control over this process since this product will not be sold outside of StreamLabs. While the Limited Module has unbuffered inputs, there is only one input per signal and the total trace length of each signal is sufficiently short due to StreamLabs having control over the design of the host device. The Limited Module’s Wi-Fi radio operates only on the 2.4GHz band and supports 802.11b, 802.11g, and 802.11n. 2. Integration Instructions 2.1. Operation status: Continuous RF transmitting mode When compliance is demonstrated, a Class II permissive change is required to authorize the integration of the CC3230 Limited Module within the new host product. 2.4. Trace antenna designs Not applicable 2.5. RF exposure considerations This equipment complies with FCC RF Exposure requirements and should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20cm between the radiator and any part of the human body. 2.6. Antennas: PCB pattern antenna (Integrated antenna) 2.7. Label and compliance information Once the radio has been installed in the host product, the host product needs to be labeled with a label with “Contains FCC ID: 2AHFE-3230 and Contains IC: 21143-3230” on the exterior of the host device. Labeling will comply with FCC KDB 784748 D01 Labeling Part 15 18 Guidelines. 2.8. Information on test modes and additional testing requirements This product has been tested in conjunction with a host and complies with FCC §15.205, FCC §15.207, FCC §15.209, and FCC §15.247. Each host integration must be evaluated against Rule Parts §15.205, §15.207, and §15.209. 2.9. Additional testing, Part 15 Subpart B disclaimer This product has been tested in conjunction with a host and complies with FCC §15.107 and FCC §15.109. The host device must be evaluated for compliance. Integration Manual 2.10. Note EMI Considerations This product has been tested in conjunction with a host and complies with FCC §15.205, FCC §15.207, FCC §15.209, and FCC §15.247. If the host (StreamLabs Sensor Board (FPS01000) version changes, emission testing must be performed to ensure compliance with §15.209. 2.11. Host Labeling The RF exposure statement warning needs to be include in the host manual. The host manual should also include a statement saying that If the module is not installed in accordance with the instructions, the FCC certification may be void. This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by StreamLabs could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. 2.12. How to make changes This device is not for sale to general consumers.
