Users Manual

EVR Series Installation Instructions Touchless Vandal Resistant Faucets Mounting Faucet 1. Attach the threaded rods to the bottom of the faucet. Position the gasket accordingly on the sink and lower faucet. Be sure the gasket has “FRONT” wording facing toward the sink. 2. Below the sink, place the basin washer, flat washer and retaining washer onto threaded rod and push secure. Retaining washer will hold in place while securing nut. 3. Tighten nut onto threaded rod using a screwdriver, wrench, or 1/2 ̋ socket. 4. After completing control box install, flush lines completely. Then install outlet cache using provided installation key. 2 1 Retaining washer installed with flat side up bottom Safety Information Read entire user guide to ensure proper installation. Please follow these important safety guidelines while handling and installing this product: • FCC Caution: Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate this equipment • Make sure there is enough space and lighting available during installation and service. • Do not modify or convert this product before, during, or after installation.Doing so voids all warranties Internal Antenna Specifications • Peak Gain of the antenna: +1.51 dBi • Frequency range: 2400-2500 MHz • FCC ID: 2APTX-CFC03 This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interfer- ence, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Notice to the Installer • Read this entire instruction sheet before installing to ensure proper installation. • Installation must comply with local codes and ordinances. • Do not use sealing compound. Possible solenoid contamination could occur and will void any warranty. • Exercise care when installing the device to prevent marring the exposed, decorative surfaces. The supply piping to these devices shall be securely anchored to the building structure to protect the installed device against unnecessary movement when operated by the user. NOTE: The information in this manual is subject to change without notice. Installation may be performed at different times of construction by different individuals. For this reason, these instructions should be left on-site with the facility or maintenance manager. NOTE: Before installation, turn off water supplies to existing faucet and remove faucet if replacing. Clean faucet basin and clear away debris. Flush all supply lines before connecting to faucet. Failure to do so can result in debris clogging the inlets and/or internal control and mixing valves. In order to complete the installation, you will need the following tools and supplies: • Phillips Screwdriver, #1, #2, #3 • Drill, with 3/16 ̋ Bit • Adjustable Wrench • Mallet • Tape Measure • Plumbers Putty • Silicone-based Lubricant • 1/2 ̋ Deep Socket or #3 Flat Head Screwdriver Operating static pressure: 20-125 PSI (138-862 kPa) Minimum static pressure for mixing: 30 PSI (207 kPa) COLD water inlet temperature range: 40-80°F (4-27°C) HOT water inlet temperature range: 100-180°F (38-82°C) Maximum hot water range outlet from thermostatic mixing valve: 80-120°F (27-49°C) Maximum hot water range outlet from mechanical mixing valve: 40-140°F (4-60°C) Maximum pressure differential between Hot & Cold water supplies: 20%; Minimum inlet water supply temperature differential: 20°F (9°C) Mounting Control Box Connecting Water Supply (dual supply unit shown) 1. Remove the control box cover by using a #2 Phillips screwdriver to loosen the cover screw. 1. Insert the filter screen gaskets into the supply stops. IMPORTANT: The filter screen gaskets seal the connection against leaks and must be installed as shown. 2. Pivot the yellow locking tab and remove the metal key at the top of the control box. Apply silicone-based lubricant to the end of the spout hose and insert it through the hole. 2. Attach the 3/8 ̋ female com- pression supply hoses from the control box to the supply stops. Use a wrench to tighten the nuts to the supply stops. IMPORTANT: Remove any debris or hardware from the sink before opening the supplies and testing the faucet. 4. Determine the position of the control box under the sink. Hold the control box against the wall and mark the locations of the two mounting holes. Orientation is not critical. 3. Open the supply stops and check for leaks. Note: water may run through spout. Remove screw for box access 17-21 ̋ (43-53 cm) 24 ̋ (61 cm) 3. Be sure to seat the hose firmly before reinstalling the metal key and securing it with the yellow locking tab. 5. Drill 3/16 ̋ holes, install wall anchors and mounting screws.
