choosing the MReX. The MReX is a low cost, very high sensitivity transceiver module for mobile paging and general telemetry use. The MReX is also a compliant mobile and base station transmitter. MReX Features •Sends and receives 512, 1200 and 2400 baud POCSAG paging messages. •Sends telemetry data from 512 baud to 9600 baud using 4GFSK. •Paging store and forward repeater operation with configurable duplicate reject (optional). •Point to point wireless serial link operating at speeds up to 9600 baud. In this manner a wireless transparent serial link can be achieved. •5 inputs. One Input may be reconfigured to be an open collector output. •Configured inputs can be programmed to send messages when triggered. •Configured output can be controlled via paging message. •Periodic message support to ensure link int…

09/06/2020 Federal Communications Commission Authorization and Evaluation Division 7435 Oakland Mills Road Columbia, MD 21046 Subject: Extended Frequencies Justification To Whom It May Concern: We, WTE Limited, would like to submit the following justification to show the frequency range 421-480MHz on the Grant of Equipment Authorization under Part 90 for FCC ID: 2ASGC- MREX460 Per the FCC’s KDB634817 guidance, as an alternative to listing the exact frequencies, we acknowledge that it’s a violation of the FCC Rules if this device operations on unauthorized frequencies. This radio is intended for use by federal agencies, public agencies, emergency services, as well as commercial, business, and industrial services. Additionally, it will be used in other countries that accept the FCC Grant of Equipment Authorization. These services account for a majority of users as described in the below table Frequency RangeRule 421 - 450Part 90 450 – 454Part 90 456 - 460Part 90 460 - 462.5375Part 90 462.7375 – 467.5375Part 90 467.7375 - 480Part 90 This radio complies with 47 CFR Part 90.203(e) in that the operator cannot program and transmit on frequencies, other than those programmed by the manufacturer, service or maintenance personnel, using the equipment's external operation controls. It is noted that the FCC rules would be violated if this radio is programmed to operate on frequencies outside of FCC Part 90 Frequency Bands for users other than the Federal Government. Sincerely, Rodrigo Pellizzzari Director/Engineer WTE Limited

15/06/2020 Federal Communications Commission Authorization and Evaluation Division 7435 Oakland Mills Road Columbia, MD 21046 To Whom It May Concern, Single Modular approval is being sought for the device with proposed FCC ID: 2ASGC-MREX460 Although the device meets seven of the eight modular approval requirements, we do not wish to meet requirement 4 as the module has a fitted SMA connector. This antenna must be professionally selected and fitted and therefore we wish to comply with the professional installation requirements of 15.203. The module meets the seven of the eight modular approval requirements as follows. 1. All the RF circuitry and components of the MReX 460 RF section are shielded. The module has been tested on a jig that allows stand-alone operations and does not provide additional shielding. 2. All the module inputs, outputs and serial communication are buffered. The radio modulation levels and clock rates used for modulation are completely independent of the digital circuit of the module. 3. The MReX 460 contains internal 3.3V power supply regulation with appropriated filtering. The module also checks voltage rail and prevent transmission if they outside specification. 4. The MReX 460 has an RF SMA connector fitted. 5. The module has demonstrated compliance as a stand-alone device. No host is required and only a power supply is required in order to operate as a complete product. 6. The MReX 460 is labelled and shows the FCC ID. The FCC ID may be not visible when the module is installed in another device or enclosure. The OEM integration section of the MReX 460 manual states that the FCC ID: 2ASGC-MREX460 must be displayed following the FCC labels rules (KDB Publication 784748) 7. The module must comply with all specific rules applicable to the transmitter, including all the conditions provided in the integration instructions by the grantee. The MReX 460 manual extensively demonstrate the appropriated integration of the module with the host device. 8. RF Exposure information is included in the user manual supplied with this application. Kind regards Shannon Reardon Director/Engineer WTE Limited

RF Exposure Info

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Page 36 of 41 Test Report No 200211.1b 17 th June 2020 This report may not be reproduced except in full. FCC ID 2ASGC-MREX460 Exposure of humans to RF fields As per FCC KDB 447498 D01 and Section 2.1091 radio frequency transmitters are required to be operated in a manner that ensures the public is not exposed to RF energy levels. Calculations have been made using the General Public/Uncontrolled Exposure limits that are defined in Section 1.1310. Minimum safe distances have been calculated below. The formula for Power Density is given by: E 2 /3770 = mW/cm 2 Between 300 – 1500 MHz the General Population / Uncontrolled exposure limit is f/1500 mW/cm 2 . As this radio can operate over the range of 421.0 to 480.0 MHz the lowest frequency of operation in the USA, which will give the worst case result, would be 421.0 MHz. The power density at 421.0 MHz will be 0.281 mW/cm 2 . For an Uncontrolled Environment Power Density = 0.281 mW/cm 2 = E 2 /3770 E= √0.281*3770 E = 32.5 V/m The rated maximum transmitter power = 100 mW (+20 dBm). A worst case scenario duty cycle of 100% has been used for the calculations. The client has declared that this transmitter would typically be operated using quarter wave whip or a dipole antennas which typically have a gain of 2.15 dBi or a numeric gain of 1.64. The minimum distance from the antenna at which the MPE is met is calculated from the following Field strength in V/m (FS), Transmit power in watts (P) Transmit antenna gain (G) Transmitter duty cycle (DC) Separation distance in metres (D) ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Page 37 of 41 Test Report No 200211.1b 17 th June 2020 This report may not be reproduced except in full. The calculation is as follows: FS = ( √ (30 * P * G * DC)) / D Therefore D = ( √ (30 * P * G * DC)) / FS D = (√ (30 * 0.1 * 1.64 * 1)) / 32.5 d= 0.068 m or 6.8 cm Result: Complies if a safe distance of at least 20 cm is applied to this device when it is used in an uncontrolled environment.

Single Modular Approval. Power listed is conducted. Approval is limited to OEM installation only. Compliance of this device in all final host configurations is the responsibility of the Grantee. Co-location of this module with other transmitters that operate simultaneously are required to be evaluated using the FCC multi-transmitter procedures. The module antenna(s) must be installed to meet the RF exposure compliance separation distance of 20 cm and any additional testing and authorization process as required. Separate approval is required for all other operating configurations, including portable configurations with respect to 2.1093 and different antenna configurations. Users and installers must be provided with device operating conditions for satisfying RF exposure compliance.
