Warnings Before using this radio, please read this manual carefully. Do not charge the radio in ammable, explosive, or radio-restricted areas (e.g., gas stations, airpos). Do not operate this radio without authorization in areas restricted by government regulations. Keep the radio away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Avoid exposing the radio to dust, moisture, or splashing water. If you notice smoke or an unusual odor, immediately remove the batte pack and contact your dealer. Repairs must be carried out by qualied technicians. Do not disassemble the radio. Charging Notes: ● Use only the supplied charger for this model. ● Turn o the radio before charging. ● For best peormance, charge the batte at least 5 hours before rst use. ● Do not charge for more than 12 hours continuously; overcharging shoens batte life. If charging time exceeds 12 hours without a full charge, disconnect immediately. ● This charger is only for the specied batte pack. Do not charge other batteries. ● Store fully charged batteries in a cool, d place. Status Indicator Red light for transmit, green light for receive. 2. Channel Knob Rotate the knob clockwise to increase or counterclockwise to decrease the channel. A total of 16 channels are available. 3. Power/Volume Knob Rotate the knob clockwise to turn on the radio and adjust the audio level. Rotate counterclockwise until a click is heard to power o. 3 4. PTT Hold down the PTT button and speak into the microphone to transmit; the red indicator will light up. If the channel has no transmit frequency, a warning tone will sound. Release the PTT to switch to receiving; if there is an incoming signal, the green indicator lights and the speaker activates. 5. Squelch Level Squelch sets the signal strength required to unmute the speaker. Lower levels allow longer range but admit more noise, while higher levels reduce background noise but limit range. The facto default is level 5, and it can be adjusted between 0 and 9 via CPS software. 6. TOT TOT prevents prolonged transmissions and protects the radio from overheating. If transmission exceeds the preset limit (0–180 seconds, set in CPS), the radio stops transmitting and emits a warning tone. Releasing the PTT resets the function. 7. Power-Saving Mode The radio can be set to Batte Save mode via CPS software. Note:a、Unchecked: Batte Save mode is o. b、Checked: Batte Save mode is on. 8. Monitor The monitor function, programmable to a side key, opens the squelch so that weak or background signals can be heard. 9. Scan Channel 16 is used for scanning. When selected, the radio automatically scans through programmed channels to detect activity. 10. Channel Lock This function locks or unlocks the channel selector to prevent accidental operation. It can be assigned to a side key in CPS. 11. Roger Beep An optional tone can be sent at the roger beep. The feature is o by default and can be enabled through CPS. 12. Busy Channel Lock When enabled, it prevents transmission on a busy channel. Pressing the PTT under this condition will only trigger a warning beep until released. 13. VOX VOX feature enables transmission without pressing the PTT button—just speak into the mic to transmit, and it stops automatically when you stop talking. By default, long-press the side button to activate VOX, with voice 4 prompts ("VOX ON"/"VOX OFF") for status changes. This feature is o by default. a. When VOX is enabled on your radio's channel, speaking into the mic stas transmission automatically, and it stops when you're silent, waiting for incoming signals. b. When using a headset mic, adjust the VOX gain for proper sound level detection. Overly sensitive settings may trigger transmission with ambient noise, while insucient sensitivity may miss your voice. Fine-tune the gain for smooth communication. Note: With high VOX sensitivity and a connected speaker/mic, amplied received signals may unintentionally trigger transmission. 14. One-Key Emergency Ale Dene side-button long-press via CPS for emergency ales. Hold for 2s to activate; press PTT to exit. 15. One-Key CTCSS/DCS O On Channel 3, long-press side + PTT at staup: "On" enables CTCSS/DCS; "O" disables it. 16. CTCSS/DCS Suppos 260 CTCSS/DCS codes: 50 analog CTCSS & 105*2 digital DCS (N/I- phase), set via software. 17.
