WHAT’S INCLUDED The REIGN XRE-100 Relay Extender is a revolutionary product that will make any dry contact wireless with no programming or configuration whatsoever - it literally is a plug and play device. HOW I T WORKS... Congratulations on your purchase of the Trans mitter Solutions XRE-100 Relay Extender Sys tem. It has been designed with state-of-the-art radio technology to extend relay closu res, switches, indicators, sensors, and any other simple ON/OFF status inputs and outputs through extreme obstruction and interference. If you ordered your XRE-100s together they will need to be paired as a unit. See pairing section. If you would lik e to survey the range capability before install, simply provide power to both units and press the PROG/TEST button alternately on each unit. Successful transmission and reception will be indicated on the tr ansmit and receive LEDs on each unit as described below. XRE–100 REL AY EXTENDER There are two pieces that complete the XRE-100. Must purchase two units to complete the kit. The Reign XRE-100 - Relay Extender kit includes 1- XRE-100 unit. These units are interchangeable and can be paired in the field. Transmitter Solutions refe rs to the XRE-100 installed at the peripheral device as the Node and the XRE-100 installed at the primary unit the Hub. REL AY DIAGRAM AND WIRING – RELAY INPUTS R elay Inputs - The Reign XRE-100 comes with 2 relay inputs. Connect DRY closure from devices relay to be extended. A closure on RLY1 input will result in a closure on RLY1 (NC/COM/NO) of the paired XRE-100. A closure on RLY2/COM input will result in a closure on RLY2 (NC/COM/NO output) of the paired XRE-100. RELAY OUTPUTS Relay Outputs - The Reign XRE-100 comes with 2-relay outputs. Each output follows RELAY INPUTS from remote paired XRE-100. When RLY1 or RLY2 INPUTS are closed RLY1 and RLY2 OUTPUTS are energized and connect NC/COM/NO respectively. This relay state is also indicated by the GREEN ACTIVE LED above each relay. 1 2 21 6 Alert RLY RLY 1 RLY 2 RLY 2 RLY 1 . ALERT REL AY S ALERT INPUT (when DIP switch 3 is on) ALE RT RELAY OUTPUT Both RELAY 1 and RELAY 2 INPUTs are supervised when DIPSWITCH 3 in ON. Supervised inputs detect fault or tampering of inputs and send an ALERT RELAY activation to the opposite unit (Typically from the Node unit to the Base unit). Supervised inputs will detect an input shorted to ground (or each other) or an open input (loose or cut wire). Connect the supplied 1K ohm and 2k ohm resistors across the device to be monitored as shown. IMPORTANT: resistors must be connected at the device to be monitored NOT AT THE XRE-100 RELAY INPUT. When in Supervise Mode, unus ed inputs must be termina ted with th e supplied 3K ohm resistor. DATA AND DEVICES / ANT-915-IPW1-RPS The ANT-915-IPW1-RPS antenna is a hinged-whip IP67-rated dipole antenna designed for use in 915 MHz frequency bands for low-power, wide-area (LPWA) applications such as LoRaWAN® and WiFi HaLow™ as well as ISM and remote control applications. The ANT-915-IPW1-RPS provides a ground plane independent dipole antenna solution. The hinged design allows for the antenna to be positioned for optimum performance and reduces the potential for damage from impact compared to a fixed whip design. The antenna attaches with an RP-SMA plug (female socket) connector. The antenna whip can be tilted 90 degrees, with a detent at 45 degrees enabling the antenna to be oriented in any direction. The rotating base allows for continuous positioning through 360 degrees even while installed. An ingress protection rating (IP rating) refers to the capability of a device to withstand the ingress of dust and/or water under specified conditions. IP rating is typically reserved for marketable product (device) rather than constituent components because design and assembly may affect performance of the device under testing. Distribution channels may offer alternative packaging options. L PWA: LoRaWAN® ITU-T Y.4480, and Sigfox® LoRaWAN and Sigfox LPWA technologies operate within several of the frequencies supported by the 915-IPW1-RPS antenna. Notably, LoRaWAN operates at the frequency bands shown in Table 3. Sigfox operates at different frequencies determined by country (Table 4). The ANT-915-IPW1-RPS antenna is characterized in two antenna orientations as shown in Figure 2. The antenna straight orientation characterizes use of an antenna attached to an enclosure-mounted connector which is connected by cable to a printed circuit board. Although the antenna is a dipole not requiring a ground plane for function, characterization with an adjacent ground plane, (102 mm x 102 mm) provides insight into antenna performance when attached directly to a printed circuit board mounted connector.
