1 INSTRUCTION MANUAL: SPY ROVER MINI8+ NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: - Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. - Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. - Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. - Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. SETTING UP THE SPY ROVER MINI SETTING UP THE REMOTE CONTROL 1. Turn off the power switch. 2. Using a phillips screwdriver open the battery compartment. 3. Connect the battery wire to the Spy Rover Mini’s connector as shown on the diagram. 4. Close the battery compartment and switch the power switch to On. FOR AGES 1. Using a phillips screwdriver open the batt ery cover on the base of the controller. 2. Install 2x new AA batt eries taking care to match the correct polarity (+/-). 3. Close the batt ery cover. F or best r esults the car needs to be within a 66 foot range of the controller. Tip . If your Spy Rover Mini pulls to the left or right when driving forwar ds without steering from the controler, you should adjust the steering trim. Tip . Full charge takes up to 1.5hrs iO SAndroid 1. Remove the batt ery from the Spy Rover Mini as shown in the setting up instructions. 2. Connect the Spy Rover Mini batt ery to the USB charging cor d connector . 3. Plug the USB cor d into a 5v1a USB charger. 4. The charger light will turn on to indicate charging. When the charger light goes out charging is complete and you can reinstall the batt ery in the Spy Rover Mini. Vehicle FunctionsController Functions QR QR Spy Rover Mini Movement Spy Rover Mini Steering Trim Adjusment If the vehicle pulls to the left adjust the trim setting to the right until the vehicle travels in a str aight line. If the vehicle pulls to the right adjust the trim setting to the left until the vehicle tr avels in a str aight line. Tip 1. The camera will automatically disconnect when the batt ery is low. Tip 2. The camera signal range is approx. 66ft max. The Spy Rover Mini comes equipped with a WIFI enabled First Person Video (FPV) camera. Follow these steps to set up: 1. Install the phone holder on the top of the remote controller. 2. Use the QR link to download the “Spy Rover Mini” app fr om the Android or iTunes stor e. 3. Turn the Spy Rover Mini on, open WIFI settings on your phone and connect to the “SpyRoverFPV_xxxx” network. 4. Once connected open the app and drive!
