Users Manual

Eight-Level digital volume adjustment In the standby mode, short press the 【▲】key, the radio enters the volume adjustment mode, the current volume level is displayed on the screen, press the 【▲】key continuously to adjust the volume to the maximum; press the 【】 key shortly, the radio enters the volume adjustment mode, press the 【】key continuously to adjust the volume to the minimum. (Tips: Level 1 is the smallest volume, Level 8 is the largest volume) Key lock function The key lock function can lock the MENU key、roll key (▲)、CALL key, and SCAN key to prevent an accidental changes to the settings. Once locked, you can only use the【 】key(to turn on or turn off the radio) and the TALK transmit function. To activate the key lock function, press and hold the 【 】key for 2 seconds. You can see the icon appear on the screen . To release the key lock function, press and hold the 【 】key again for 2 seconds. Monitor function In the standby mode, long press the 【 】key to turn on the monitoring, the squelch turned off, and you will hear the background noise (a beep); release the 【 】key to turn off the monitoring, and you will not hear the background noise. Scan function Long press the【】key, the walkie-talkie will automatically detect the activity of the channel, and when there is a signal on the scanned channel, the walkie-talkie will automatically stop on the channel for talking. Main channel Scan RX indicator TX indicator Tone display CDCSS CTCSS Volume Keypad Lock Weather Forecast VOX Volume WORK CHANNELS SETTING 1. In standby mode, press the 【MENU】key once to enter the channel selection menu, and the current channel number (the big number in the middle of the screen) starts to flash. 2. Press【▲】or【】key to set a new channel number. 3. Press 【MENU】key to confirm and enter the next menu, or press [TALK] key to save the new setting and exit to normal operation mode. CTCSS/DCS INTERFERENCE CANCELLATION MUTE CODE SELECTION 1.In standby mode, press the [MENU] key twice to enter the CTCSS/DCS anti-interference code setting, the LCD screen displays the current code number and flashes, and the "CT" or "DCS" icon lights up. 2. Press 【▲】or【】key to select; press【 】to switch CTCSS/DCS. 3.After select, press【MENU】key to confirm and enter the next menu, or press [TALK] key to save the new setting and exit to normal operation mode. CALL TONE SETTING The call function is for notifying the members of the walkie-talkie group that someone wants to speak. Press [CALL] key, users in the group who use the same settings will hear your calling. This walkie-talkie has 10 types of calling tones for choice, the setting steps are as follows: 1. In standby mode, press the [MENU] key three times to enter the call tone selection, the LCD screen displays "CA" and the current call tone type, the current call tone type sequence flashes. 2. Press 【▲】or【】key to select CALL tone type 01-10. 3. Press 【MENU】key to confirm and enter the next menu, or press [TALK] key to save the new setting and exit to normal operation mode. Tips: After turning on the VOX function, the screen will display the VOX icon. According to the noise of the use environment, select the parameters appropriately: 1= Use under high sensitivity and low background noise 2= Use under medium sensitivity and suitable for most applications 2= Use under low sensitivity and high background noise BUTTON TONE SWITCH SETTING 1.In standby mode, press the [MENU] key five times to enter the key tone switch setting, the LCD screen displays ON/OFF flashes. 2.Press 【▲】or【】key to select : TONE/ON/OFF. 3.Press 【MENU】key to confirm and enter the next menu, or press [TALK] key to save the new setting and exit to normal operation mode. CALL END CONFIRMATION TONE 1. In standby mode, press [MENU] key six times to enter RogerTone switch selection: LCD screen display, ON/OFF flashing. In standby mode, press [MENU] key eight times to enter backlight setting : LCD screen display BL. 2.Press【▲】or【】key to select : 00 is to turn off, 01 is long light,02 is short light(lasts around 5 seconds). 3.Press 【MENU】key to confirm and enter the next menu, or press [TALK] key to save the new setting and exit to normal operation mode. Turning the radio on/off When in shutdown state, press【 】key to turn on the radio, the radio will beep and all the icons will be displayed on the screen instantaneously. Show current channel. KEY FUNCTION OPERATION KEY FUNCTION OPERATION 1)The walkie-talkie will stop on the channel with signal, after the signal disappears, and after 15 seconds, the walkie-talkie will go on scan next channel. 2)when working in the FM state, the scanning function is invalid. ENTER NOAA MODE Long press the【▲】 key, the walkie-talkie will enter the NOAA mode, and the NOAA channel number and the NOAA icon will be displayed on the screen. If the NOAA channel is not set, this operation is invalid.
