Housefarm User Manual INTRODUCTION Read these instructions carefully before using the appliance. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injuries and equipment damage. The manufacturer is not liable for damages resulting from failure to follow these instructions for use. - This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved - Children shall not play with the appliance - Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision - If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard ①Temperature Current temperature ② Humidity Current Humidity ③ Water tank the amount of water in the water tank ④ Air quality Current air quality ⑤ pH Indicates the ph value. ⑥ Cultivation mode Choose from standard, leaf and herbs. ⑦ LED time change Change the set time in the cultivation mode to the desired time. ⑧ LED Power A button to temporarily turn on/off the LED power. ⑨ Settings This button is for wireless Internet connection. Basically, the method of use is the same as that of a smartphone. Cleaning Prior to the Next Planting Once the crop is harvested, clean up the hydroponics unit to start another planting. To clean up the hydroponics system: 1. Turn off the power and unplug the cord from the wall outlet. 2. Clean up the sponge for reuse (optional) or purchase new sponge. 3. Drain water from the system: • Plant Producer Hydroponics System: a. Remove the tray covers from all two shelves. b. Beginning with the top tray and working down, use a towel to push the water into the drain. c. Disconnect the water hose and remove the tray. d. Remove the water in the tray. 4. Clean the tank(s) and tray covers with warm soapy water from a bucket. Do not pour soap/bleach directly into the reservoir. Bleach can be used to clean the hydroponics system, but it is suggested to use less than a ¼ capful of bleach for every 1-2 gallons of water. If bleach is used, wait an additional 24 hours before filling the tank with water. 5. Rinse thoroughly to remove the soap and bleach (if used). 6. Remove all visible green algae that may have accumulated from the previous harvest. 7. Dry or let air dry before adding new water. 8. Once clean and dry, new water can be added. The recommendation is to let water sit/circulate for 24 hours before adding any plant life to the hydroponics system.
