Enjoy your Litter-Robot, and enjoy a better life with your pet! Jacob President & CEO Brad Founder & Chief Inventor www.whiskersupport.com 3 Important safety instructions 1. Always ensure that any cat in your household that might use the Litter-Robot 5 weighs at least 2 pounds. Cats must weigh 2 pounds or more to safely use the Litter-Robot 5 in Automatic Mode. 2. Always place the Litter-Robot on a level surface. Avoid uneven or unstable flooring, which may affect the unit’s ability to detect the weight of your cat. If using litter mats or rugs, place in front of the unit. Do not place mats partially under the unit. 3. Always unplug the unit before servicing. 4. Never force your cat into the Litter-Robot. 5. Never put anything in the unit other than clumping litter or litter beads and crystals that are small enough to pass through the screen. Translucent or white-colored litter (most often seen in crystal litter) may impact the LitterLevel® and Drawer Full Indicator (DFI) accuracy. 6. Never sit on or place anything on top of the Litter-Robot. 7. Never push the Litter-Robot against a wall or into a corner (should not touch any walls for accurate weight measurements). 8. Never wet or submerge the bonnet or base. 9. Never allow children and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge use, clean, or maintain the Litter-Robot without supervision, instruction concerning its use in a safe way, and understanding of the hazards involved. Children younger than 8 years of age should not be allowed contact with the Litter-Robot. 10. Never allow children or others to play with the Litter-Robot. 11. Never use an external power supply other than the one provided with the unit. If the external power supply is damaged, please contact us for a replacement. 12. Never modify the Litter-Robot hardware. Doing so could impact important safety features and will void your warranty. 13. Servicing of internal laser components must only be performed by authorized personnel. www.whiskersupport.com 4 Table of contents Important safety instructions ............................................................................................................................3 Components ...........................................................................................................................................................5 Dimensions ..............................................................................................................................................................8 Setting up your Litter-Robot .............................................................................................................................10 Introducing your cat to the Litter-Robot ......................................................................................................15 How it works ..........................................................................................................................................................16 Clean Cycle .....................................................................................................................................................................16 Empty Cycle ....................................................................................................................................................................17 Ongoing maintenance ........................................................................................................................................17 Control Panel .........................................................................................................................................................19 LED indicator light .........................................................................................................................................................19 Power button functions ..............................................................................................................................................19 Cycle button ...................................................................................................................................................................20 Cancel button functions............................................................................................................................................20 Empty button ..................................................................................................................................................................20 Connect button ..............................................................................................................................................................21 Factory reset ...................................................................................................................................................................21 Sensors & technology .......................................................................................................................................22 Cat Sensors .....................................................................................................................................................................22 Waste sensors .................................................................................…

Whisker™ | 1080 West Entrance Dr. Auburn Hills, MI 48326 | www.whisker.com Applicant: Automated Pet Care Products, LLC dba Whisker FCC ID: 2BCHY-LR5PRO Product Name: Litter-robot 5 Pro Model Number(s): LR5P-0101, LR5P-0301 Date: January 29, 2026 Subject: Declaration of U-NII Client Device Operation Without Radar Detection Capability To Whom It May Concern, This letter is provided in support of the FCC certification application for the above- referenced U-NII client device and is submitted in accordance with the FCC guidance document “U-NII Client Devices without Radar Detection Capability” dated August 22, 2016. Device Classification and Operational Description The device identified above is classified as a U-NII client device and does not incorporate radar detection (DFS) capability. In compliance with FCC requirements for operation on DFS frequencies, the following declarations are made: • The device does not perform radar detection and does not independently initiate transmissions on DFS-restricted channels. • The device operates only under the control of a DFS-capable master device (e.g., an access point) that performs all required radar detection and channel selection functions. • The device relies entirely on the master device to: o Select the operating channel o Monitor for radar signals o Initiate channel changes when radar is detected Control and Compliance Mechanisms • The client device cannot transmit on DFS frequencies unless it has first received enabling instructions from a DFS-compliant master device. Whisker™ | 1080 West Entrance Dr. Auburn Hills, MI 48326 | www.whisker.com • The device ceases transmission immediately upon loss of control communication with the master device. • The device does not provide any user-accessible or software-configurable means to override DFS control or independently select DFS channels. Software and Firmware Considerations • There are no software, firmware, or hardware configurations available to the end user or professional installer that would enable radar detection or autonomous DFS operation. • Any firmware updates applicable to RF operation do not alter the DFS client- only behavior described in this declaration. Conclusion Based on the design and operational characteristics described above, the device fully complies with FCC requirements for U-NII client devices without radar detection capability and meets the conditions outlined in the August 22, 2016 FCC guidance. If additional information or clarification is required, please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned.
