SPL-XMANUALWWW.VELODYNEACOUSTICS.COM ENGLISH SPL-XMANUALWWW.VELODYNEACOUSTICS.COM ENGLISH 2627 Adjustable Slope Settings The adjustable slope settings in the app enhance sound quality by allowing precise control over the crossover transition. This ensures optimal integration of the subwoofer with the room acoustics and personal listening preferences. In the Crossover section, the slope can be individually adjusted for three parameters: • Crossover • Subsonic Filter • Output HighPass Filter To adjust the slope for any of these parameters: 1. Tap the corresponding slope control to activate the adjustment mode. 2. The slope adjustment section will then link to the selected frequency parameter. 3. Use the selection box at the bottom to choose a slope value of 12, 24, 36, or 48 dB/octave. 4. The selected value is displayed in a green indicator box above the adjustment field. This flexibility allows for precise tuning of the frequency response, ensuring seamless integration into your sound system. Manual EQ 1. Manual EQ – Allows you to manually adjust the Frequency, Gain and Q-factor of 6 independent PEQs. 2. Flat button – If you hit this button all PEQ are set into neutral. Note: If the EQ-curve is already set, it will be the new neutral. 3. By hitting any blue dot on the frequency curve you are selecting one individual Equalizer, they can be individually adjusted from 20Hz to 200 Hz by sliding left to right on the frequency curve graph. After selecting one dot, you can also change the settings by hitting the “Set” button. 4. Preset – You are able to save up to 6 different EQ settings by hitting the save-button, then selecting a preset on the drop down menu and rename each individual preset, i.e. Cinema/Game/Jazz/Classic 6. Select Preset – By hitting the “SELECT” button, you can choose one of your presets by using the drop down menu, followed by the “confirm” button, the preset will be uploaded into SPL-X subwoofer DSP. Using Auto EQ Auto EQ is used to compensate and correct acoustic room anomalies that can cause inferior bass performance. Auto EQ takes a series of measurements, makes complex calculations, and applies those acoustic corrections - all from the comfort of your listening area. 1. To start the Auto EQ process, press the “Auto EQ” button in the lower menu, it will appear in blue when active. The app screen will show three curves on the graph, original, corrected and target curve. 2. Place the measurement microphone approximately 50 cm (20 inches) away from the subwoofer. The microphone should be pointed upward, not directly at the subwoofer. Press the SCAN button. The subwoofer will now perform a sweep, measuring the frequency response. This initial measurement generates the target curve (yellow), which is also visible in the app. 3. Move the MIC to the listening position facing the speaker. Hit the “Start” Button, now the SPL-X is running several test tone sweeps and automatically setting the internal DSP to have the room correction applied. Note: You can also start this automatic room correction by pressing the physical button on the SPL-X back panel without using the AutoEQ SUB app. Standby Mode The Input Sensitivity controls the minimum input level at which the subwoofer wakes from standby mode or enters standby mode. Similarly, the standby time setting allows you to adjust the duration after which the subwoofer will go into standby mode if no signal is detected. This helps prevent unwanted shutdowns during home theater use, ensuring the subwoofer remains ready for action during quiet scenes. Factory Reset: This process is performed in the app. When the subwoofer is connected to the app, simply press the Velodyne Acoustics logo until the “Restore Factory Settings” prompt appears. Confirm by selecting “Yes”, and the reset will be completed, returning the subwoofer to its neutral default setting. A quick press of the Velodyne Acoustics symbol will display the current software and firmware versions of the subwoofer and the app in use. Das Gerät ist mit einer Signalerkennungsschaltung ausgestattet, die das Gerät automatisch einschaltet, wenn ein Signal an den Eingängen anliegt, und es nach einigen Minuten ausschaltet, wenn kein Signal mehr an den Eingängen anliegt. SCHUTZSCHALTUNG Ihr Velodyne Acoustics Subwoofer ist mit Schaltkreisen ausgestattet, die maximale Leistung bei höchster Zuverlässigkeit bieten. Das Gerät ist geschützt gegen: 1. Überhitzung des Verstärkers. 2. Spannungsabfall im Stromnetz. In diesem Fall sollten Sie die Lautstärke reduzieren oder das Gerät ausschalten, bis wieder normale Betriebsbedingungen herrschen. Möglicherweise sollten Sie das Gerät auch an eine andere Steckdose anschließen, da sich ein Abfall der Netzspannung vor allem unter anstrengenden Bedingungen bemerkbar macht und zu einer zeitweiligen Abschaltung des Geräts führen kann.
