To reduce the risk of scams or malware, use your phone’s built-in camera app to scan the QR code instead of third-party apps. Setup the devices Add the Hub Hub is the brain of the alarm security system, connecting sensors to the app and having a built-in siren to ward off would-be intruders. First, power on the Hub using the included USB cable and power adapter. Connect the Hub to your home internet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet and make sure it's placed in a central lcoation for best coverage of sensors. Tap “Add Device” in the app, select the corresponding product type, and follow the on-screen instructions. Add the Keypad The keypad allows you to easily control the system’s security modes and trigger fast emergency alerts using the dedicated buttons. Install four AAA batteries in the keypad, or power it using an adapter and USB cable. The device will turn on automatically. During the initial setup of your system, the Hub is prepared to automatically recognize and pair with the keypad. After the Hub has been successfully paired in the App, simply power on the keypad—it will be automatically discovered and paired with the Hub. Follow the in-App instructions to power on the keypad or activate pairing mode to complete the automatic pairing process. Add the Contact & Motion Sensor The Contact & Motion Sensor is a 2-in-1 device that monitors both door/window openings and motion activity. Twist open the battery cover on the back of each Contact & Motion Sensor using a coin, remove the insulation tab, then reattach and tighten the cover. During the initial setup of your system, the Hub is prepared to automatically recognize and pair with the Contact & Motion Sensor. After the Hub has been successfully paired in the App, simply power on the sensor—it will be automatically discovered and paired with the Hub. Follow the in-App instructions to power on the sensor or activate pairing mode to complete the automatic pairing process. The Glass Break Sensor detects the sound of breaking glass and triggers an alarm if someone attempts to enter by smashing a window. Install four AAA batteries in the Glass Break Sensor. During the initial setup of your system, the Hub is prepared to automatically recognize and pair with the Glass Break Sensor. After the Hub has been successfully paired in the App, simply power on the sensor—it will be automatically discovered and paired with the Hub. Follow the in-App instructions to power on the sensor or activate pairing mode to complete the automatic pairing process. Add the Glass Break Sensor Installation Make sure to follow the in-app guide to ensure your devices are added to the VicoHome app. Hub Keypad Placed the hub in a central location for best coverage of sensors and keypads. Placed near your door, the keypad makes it easy to quickly arm and disarm your system. Desktop Placement:The Hub can be placed on a flat surface. Screw installation: drill holes on the wall according to the positions marked by the alignment sticker, using a 6mm (15/64-inch, M6) drill bit. Insert the wall plugs from the accessory kit into the holes. Then, screw the provided screws into the wall plugs, and hang the Hub onto them. Adhesive installation: Ensure the wall surface is clean and dry before applying the adhesive pad. Peel the 3M adhesive pad behind the keypad and sensors to the desired installation position. Then, press firmly for 30 seconds to secure it. Screw installation: drill holes on the wall, using a 6mm (15/64-inch, M6) drill bit. Insert the wall plugs from the accessory kit into the holes.
