Introduction to the Armilla System Thank you for purchasing the Armilla Tech system designed to improve communication between the coach and players during games and in training. The following system combinations are available: A. NAME: 1 Tablet System One tablet for the coach directing both the offence and defense plays during games/training, and up to 22 wristband devices for players. B. NAME: 2 Tablet System Two tablets for two coaches, one coach directing the offence, one coach directing the defense during the game/training, and up to 22 wristband devices for players. 2. How to Power ON the Command Center Press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds – the command centre should power up. 3. How to Power ON a Wristband Device Press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds – the wristband device will power up and vibrate. The screen will display the: 1. Device ID 2. Player Name (once assigned) 3. FW version 4. Start message: “NO TABLET PAIRED” or “TABLET: FFFFnnnn WAITING TO PLAY” 4. How to use the System for the First Time Before using your new system for first time there are a few steps that need to be completed: user account setup, tablet(s) registration, play library creation as well as pairing the wristband devices with the tablet through the Armilla mobile app. 4.1 Setting-up your account and registering the tablet(s) 1. Call Armilla Tech to create a new user account and provide the tablet’s IMEI number. 2. Once a new account has been created, Armilla will provide the credentials to log into the Armilla Web Portal https://armillatech.com/portal and the Armilla mobile app already installed on the tablet. 3. Login on the web portal with the given username and password 4. Select and pay for an Annual Subscription. 5. Register the tablet by having the tablet IMEI number ready (found on label in the back of the tablet or on the Login page in the Armilla mobile app) USER MANUAL – ARMILLA WRIST RECEIVER – MODEL ARWR-V4 3 | P a g e 6. Specify the type of usage for the tablet: “Offence only”, “Defense only” or “Offence & Defense”. The web portal should confirm the registration. 4.2 Creating your Play Library On the Web Portal, use the “Play Sheet / Play Library” to download templates, customize and upload your custom Play library or Constructive Play sheet in a .csv file format. 4.3 Configuring your tablet 1. Power ON the tablet 2. Configure Wi-Fi to provide internet connection to the tablet. 3. The log into the Armilla mobile app 4. On the Play Library tab, click the “+” icon to add Play Libraries by selecting “Import from the portal”, “Import from a file” or “Add a new play”. 4.4 Pairing Wristband Devices The wristband devices need to be paired with the tablet before starting a game. Before giving the wristband devices to the players, first power on all devices and use the Armilla mobile app to pair them. 1. Open Armilla mobile app and login with the provided credentials. 2. On the Devices tab, click the “+” icon and select “Pair new devices”. 3. Place up to four (4) wristband devices in pairing mode by double pressing the power button. You have 30 seconds to pair the device. 4. On the tablet click “Stat Scan” and the tablet will list all wristband devices in pairing mode. 5. Select one wristband device in the list and click “Connect”. The color of the icon will turn from grey to green if paring is successful. 6. Repeat 5 for all wristband devices in the list. 7. Repeat steps 3-6 until all your wristband devices are paired with the tablet. 4.5 Assigning a player name to each device (optional) You can assign a player name to each wristband device in the “Devices” tab. Select a device and hold to open a pop-up menu. Select “Edit Device Information”, here you may input the name of the player that will be using this device. The name will be sent to the wristband device and displayed. Distribute the wristband devices to the players as per the name on the screens. Now you are ready to start a game. Introduction The ILA.09 is a new 915MHz ISM band embedded ceramic loop antenna from Taoglas featuring good efficiency of 55% at the center of the band. It is the perfect solution for the growing number of devices using the 915MHz band such as Sigfox and LoRa applications in the US, or in metering application. This antenna works best when placed at the center of the board edge. The ILA.09 antenna, at 5*3*0.5mm, is low profile and would be suitable for devices with space constraints. The ILA.09 is delivered on tape and reel and now allows M2M customers to use an omnidirectional SMT antenna. The omnidirectional radiation characteristics allow for excellent performance regardless of device orientation. This is especially useful for devices that are not fixed in one particular spot during use. When there is little PCB space available for antenna placement, but high performance is required, the ILA.09 is the ideal choice. The antenna is manufactured in a TS16949 first tier automotive approved facility and has passed the most stringent reliability testing. Since it is SMD, it is much easier to integrate and more reliable in high volume production compared to helical antennas which are cumbersome to install and subject to variability due to the need for manual assembly. This antenna can be mounted with no performance degradation in either orientation as long as the antenna is soldered correctly via Surface mounting. Please see the integration instructions section for further detail regarding the optimum way to integrate this antenna into your device. Note the placement of the optimized components. L1 is placed as close as possible to the RF feed (pad 1) within the RF Trace. C1 is then placed tightly in series after that. C4 & C5 are optional components but the footprints are recommended in case they are needed. C3 is placed within the copper keep out connecting the RF feed (pad 1) to the fine-tuning element (pad 3), with C2 placed across the fine-tuning element and ground. 7.4 PCB Keepout Below shows the antenna footprint and clearance through ALL layers on the PCB. Only the antenna pads and connections to feed and GND are present within this clearance area (marked RED). The clearance area extends to 5mm from the antenna mechanical pads to the ground area.
