Users Manual

Carbon Finder Model: CARD02WC User Manual Before you start access via Wi-Fi or cellular service. • Locate the button on the front side of the Carbon Finder as shown below. • Before you begin, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your Android or iOS device, and that the device has internet TM The InCard Carbon Finder is a universal item finder that works with the Apple Find My network or Find Hub network to help you locate your valuable items. During initial setup, you can select your preferred network. However, the finder cannot operate on both networks simultaneously. Once a network is selected, the other is automatically disabled. To switch networks, you must perform a factory reset on the finder. Button LED Instructions 1.Enable the finder: Press the button once. A confirmation beep will sound. Get started with an iOS device • Place your finder next to your iOS device and press the button once to activate it. If activation is successful, you will hear a beep. • On your iOS device, open the Find My app. Tap the Items tab, then tap Add Item. Select Other Supported Item. (If you’ve previously added items, tap the “+” button first, then choose Add Other Item.) • Once the Find My app detects your finder, follow the on-screen instructions to add it to the Find My app. Get started with an Android device • Place your finder near your Android device (Make sure your Android device is awake and unlocked) and press the button once to activate it. If activation is successful, you will hear a beep. • Wait for a half-screen notification to appear, then follow the on-screen instructions on your Android device to add the finder to Find Hub app. Locate your finder and valuables • After adding the finder to Apple’s Find My or Find Hub app, attach it to your valuables. You can then use the corresponding app to locate both the finder and the item it’s attached to. 2.Disable the finder 1) Quickly press the button twice. A confirmation beep will sound. 2) Press and hold the button for five seconds. A beep will sound. 3) Release the button. Two confirmation beeps will sound. 3.Factory reset 1) Quickly press the button twice. A confirmation beep will sound. 2) Immediately after you hear the confirmation sound, press and hold the button. After holding it for 5 seconds, the device will begin emitting a single beep sound once per second, for a total of five beep sounds. 3) Continue holding the button, and release it immediately after you hear a double beep sound. If the operation is successful, the device will beep four times. After resetting, you can link the Carbon Finder to a different Google or Apple account. However, if you want to link it to a new Apple account, you must also remove it from its previous Apple account on your iOS device. Locate your finder when it’s nearby 1) Open the Apple Find My app or Find Hub app, then tap your Carbon Finder from the item/device list. 2) Tap “PlaySound” to make your finder beep. 3) Once you've located it, stop the beeping by either using the app or pressing the button once on the finder. Locate your finder when it’s faraway 1) Open the Apple Find My app or Find Hub app, then tap your Carbon Finder from the item/device list. 2) The current location of your finder will appear on the map, along with a timestamp showing when it was last located. Caution The button on the Carbon Finder is a physical mechanical button, not touch-sensitive. A light tap will not trigger any action, please press it firmly with your fingertip. When pressed correctly, the finder will emit confirmation sounds (as described in the subsequent sections) and you will see the LED flash. If you don’t hear the sound or see the LED flash, the button may not have been pressed properly. It is intentionally designed to prevent accidental activation or unintended operation, so it may feel unfamiliar at first. Don’t hesitate to apply a bit of force when pressing it.
