Introduction This manual describes the RFID LF Interface module type PM-R125. The module has been developed for an easy integration in OEM systems for RFID reading and writing. The module is intended as internal component of the OEM device; module supply, connection, prescribed antennas and programming are exposed in this manual. 1.1. Applicability The module is available in two arrangements of the serial communication port: TTL or RS-232 buffered. Model Description PM-R125-232 Version with RS-232 serial port for use with the prescribed LF (125kHz) tuned antennas. PM-R125-TTL Version with serial port at TTL level for use with the prescribed LF (125kHz) tuned antennas. Fig. 1: Aspect PM-R125 TECNINT HTE Page 6 of 22 2. Regulatory This device has been tested and complies with the following regulations FCC CFR Part 15 (Title 47 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Chapter I, Subchapter A, Part 15, “Radio Frequency Devices”) ISED Radio Standards Specification RSS-210, Issue 11 Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU and amendments Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive 2011/65/EU and amendments 2.1. Intended Use The device is intended as LF (125kHz) interface module for LF RFID reading/writing to be integrated into OEM equipment. 2.2. Warranty Tecnint HTE Srl grants to repair or, at their own discretion, to replace every and all parts recognized as defective for materials o construction under normal operating conditions for a period of 1 year from purchase date, as it can be inferred from the User’s purchase documents. Warranty does not cover faults due to: • Usage that differs from the intended use as reported in this manual. • Tampering or misuse of the appliance. • Improper installation. • Operation under out-of-specification environmental condition for this appliance. ATTENTION Warranty is effected at Tecnint HTE Srl Factory. Back shipment shall be arranged by the Customer; in this case a shipping covered by insurance is recommended. The customer will be responsible for damages due to inadequate packaging. Responsibility Tecnint HTE Srl is not liable for damages due to: • External causes (mechanical/electrical damages due to any events which exceed the specification limits) • Different usage from the intended use of the device. • Any improper use or misuse of the device not compliant with the indications of this manual • Servicing or tampering by unauthorized personnel.
