Fompet User Manual 1. Introduction Thank you for purchasing Fompet, a pet bio-data measuring device developed by Pet Ground Co., Ltd. This product is designed to measure and monitor pets’ physiological data, such as body condition score and disease-related indicators, in an easy and convenient way. Fompet consists of: - A handheld measuring device - A mobile application - Wireless Bluetooth connectivity 2. Safety Information ⚠ General Warnings - Do not disassemble, repair, or modify the device on your own. - Keep the device away from water, high humidity, fire, or direct sunlight. - Do not press the sensor unit with excessive force. - Store the device out of reach of children. ⚠ Usage Precautions - Ensure your pet is calm and still during measurement. - Do not attempt measurement while your pet is moving. - Always place the device sensor flat against the pet’s skin or fur. - Use only the provided charging accessories. 3. Product Overview 3-1. Device Layout - Power Button (Upper Left): Turns the device ON/OFF. - Measurement Button (Lower Left): Starts measurement when pressed. - OLED Display: Shows device status, calibration, and results. - Sensor Area: The flat part that must be in contact with the pet’s body. The Fompet logo will appear. 3. The display will show “Calibrating”. Place the device on a flat surface. 4. Once calibration is complete, the screen will display “Run the App”. <Step 2: Run the Application> 1. Install the Fompet APK on your smartphone. 2. Open the application and tap “Measure”. 3. Input the following data: - Category (Dog/Cat) - Breed - Age - Sex (Male/Female/FS/MC) - Petbody Condition Score (1–9) - Current treatment or managed disease (optional) - Additional notes (if necessary) 4. Tap “Measure” to proceed. Tip: If repeated measurements are required, you may use the option “Re-measure with previous data” to save time. <Step 3: Bluetooth Connection> 1. Tap “Bluetooth Scan” in the app. 2. Select the device labeled “Fompet”. 3. Once paired, the Bluetooth icon on the display will be activated. <Step 4: Power On Start Measurement> 1. The app will prompt: “Press the measurement button on the device.” 2. The device display will alternate between Step 1 and Step 2. 3. Place the sensor unit firmly against the measurement site on the pet’s body (recommended: abdomen). <Step 5: Measuring> 1. Press and hold the Measurement Button for 2–3 seconds, then release. 2. The device will show “In Progress”, and the app will display “Measuring...”. 3. Wait until measurement is complete (approx. 15 seconds). 4. When finished: - The app will display “Measurement Completed”. - The device will display results on the OLED screen. 5. Measurement data can be reviewed in the Admin page for detailed analysis. 5. Display Indicators - Calibrating: Device is preparing for measurement. - Run the App: Ready to connect with the mobile application. - Bluetooth Icon (Active): Device successfully connected. - In Progress: Measurement is running. - Results Displayed: Numerical or graphical output of bio-data. 6. Figure 9: Pin Configurations – –– – 45 Theory of Operation The CHP Series antennas utilize Low Temperature Cofired Ceramic (LTCC) technology to embed the antenna element into a ceramic substrate. Advances in this technology have resulted in materials that are extremely stable over time and temperature, producing an antenna that is highly reliable across a wide range of applications. The high-frequency charac- teristics of this technology enable exceptional performance in a very small package. The construction techniques for LTCC devices lends itself well to favorable pricing in high volume. Layout Considerations Proper layout is vital to ensure correct operation and optimum perfor- mance. Improper placement of planes, traces, or system components will result in nulls or complete de-tuning. Ideally, the antenna will be mounted on the board in such a way as to allow an unobstructed field of view. The area underneath the antenna must be free of components, traces, and planes. Components may be placed to the rear of the antenna in the ground plane counterpoise area. The feed trace from the RF stage to the antenna must be a microstrip trace or coax transmission line and should be kept as short as practical. The layout of our reference jigs is illustrated on the following pages. While they demonstrate various aspects of a layout, it is not necessary to replicate them exactly. While your board size and layout may differ, it is important to recognize that the counterpoise plays an important role in resonance and stability since it acts, in essence, as part of the antenna. After your own layout is complete, the performance of the antenna in your specific product should be carefully checked using tools like a network analyzer. In some cases, the size of the product’s PCB, proximity of the case, or other factors may make a custom version of the antenna necessary. This is a critical factor, especially in high-frequency products like Linx RF modules, because the trace lead- ing to the module’s antenna can effectively contribute to the length of the antenna, changing its resonant bandwidth.
