While the hand pulse sensors can provide an approximate estimate of actual heart rate, they should not be relied upon when precise readings are required. Some individuals (including those undergoing cardiac rehabilitation programs) should use other monitoring systems such as wristbands or chest straps for more accurate measurements. Various factors, such as user movement, can affect the accuracy of the readings. Heart rate data is provided solely as an auxiliary fitness reference to indicate general trends during exercise.
