The NeST then reads the score information from the scoreboard and transmits it via network connection to various desired locations such as video overlays, websites and more. DEVICE OVERVIEW The below diagram highlights the main features of the NeST hardware. Main Power Switch o Used to turn the device on/off. Always give the device time to shutdown properly before removing the power cord Power Indicator LED o Will glow red if the device is switched on and has power Power Jack o Only use the provided 5VDC power supply RS232 Port o Used to connect to various models of scoreboard controllers Ethernet Port o Preferred option for internet connectivity USB Port o Used to connect to various models of scoreboards using provided adapters and cables OLED DISPLAY The NeST has a build in Organic LED display. The below diagram shows some of the main features of this display. o Status Message o Usually this will show the device’s NeST ID when online Scoreboard Data o If receiving data from the scoreboard, the Home and Away Scores and main clock will be displayed when available Network connection Type o Will show the connection type currently in use E for ethernet W for WiFi C for cellular FIRST TIME SET UP Your NeST required internet connectivity so function. First time setup can be done via Ethernet or using the device’s built-in cellular modem. Follow the below steps to get your device setup for the first time. 1. Download “Scorebird Admin” App from app store on your mobile device 2. Ensure power switch is in the OFF position 3. Plug provided power supply into the power jack 4. Connect Ethernet cable if available 5. Connect Scoreboard cables if setting up scoreboard connection at this time 6. Turn power switch to ON 7. Power LED should immediately illuminate. After some time, display will show ONLINE via either Ethernet or Cellular. Device should now show as online in the Scorebird Admin app 8. If a Wi-Fi connection is desired. Navigate to NeST Details -> Wi-Fi Settings and enter the connection information. Scoreboard connection setup 1. Connect scoreboard to USB or RS232 port using the supplied cables 2. Power ON device 3. Power ON scoreboard 4. In the Admin App, navigate to the Devices tab 5. Click on NeST Details -> Test/Change Scoreboard 6. Enter scoreboard information and click Submit 7. After a few seconds, you should start to see live data from the scoreboard appear in the app. It is suggested that you have a running clock on the scoreboard to easily observe this. You should also see the clock and main score on the NeST OLED display.

FCC 47CFR §2.1091 REQUIREMENT 2.1 TEST STANDARDS The limit for Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) specified in FCC 1.1310 is followed. The gain of the antennas used in the product is extracted from the Antenna data sheets provided and also the maximum total power input to the antenna is measured. Through the Friis transmission formula and the maximum gain of the antenna, we can calculate the distance, away from the product, where the limit of MPE is reached. Although the Friis Transmission formula is far field assumption, the calculated result of that is an over-prediction for near field power density. It is taken as worst case to specify the safety range. 2.2 LIMIT According to FCC 1.1310: The criteria listed in the following table shall be used to evaluate the environmental impact of the human exposure to radio-frequency (RF) radiation as specified in 1.1307 (b) Limits for Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) Frequency Range (MHz) Electric Field Strength (V/m) Magnetic Field Strength (A/m) Power Density (mW/cm²) Limits for Occupational / controlled Exposures 300 - 1500 -- -- F/300 3.0-30 1842/f 4.89/f *(900/f²) 1500 – 100000 -- -- 5.0 Limits for General population / Uncontrolled Exposure 300 - 1500 -- -- F/1500 1.34-30 824/f 2.19/f *(180f²) 1500 – 100000 -- -- 1.0 F= Frequency in MHz Friss Formula Friss Transmission Formula: Pd = (Pout * G) / (4*pi*r²) Where Pd = power density in mW/cm² Pout = output power to antenna in mW G = gain of antenna in linear scale Pi = 3.1…
