Installthewandsensorandtransmittermodule NOTE:Clearanarea25ft.inalldirectionsofmetaltools,toysandautomobiles topreventmagneticdisturbanceduringtestingandinstallation. Step1:Digaholeforthesensor,2”deepand15”long.Besuretheholeisflatand paralleltothedirectionofthedrivewayandnotmorethan8inchesawayfromthe driveway. Step2:Digatrenchinwhichtolaythesensorcablefromthisholetowhereyouwill installthetransmittermodule.Thetrenchcouldbeat2”deep(MAX.)toprevent possiblewiredamagefromlawnmower,weedeatersandgrazinganimals. Step3:Laythesensorintheholeparalleltothedrivewayandthesensorcablein thetrench.Donotcovertheholeortrenchuntilthetransmittersignalhasbeen 4 tested.Layyourdesiredlengthofsensorcable,andcoiltherestpartbeside mountingpost. Step4:Assemblethemountingpost.Usethecoupletoconnectthetwolonger pieces. Step5:Runthesensorcable(B)throughthemountingpost(A)andplugitintothe connectoratthebottomofthetransmittermodule(C).Allow2”slackinthecableto preventdamagetotheconnectoriftransmittermoduleisremoved. Step6:Attachthetransmittermoduletothemountingpost.Atthistime,youcanput themountingpostintheground,butdon’tfilltheholeuntilaftertestingthesystem. InstalltheReceiver NOTE:Youshouldinstallawaterproofcoverforthereceiverifyouplanto installthereceiverexposuretothewatercompletely. NOTE:Thereceivercanalsobeplacedinthecontrolboxofthegateopenerif ithassparespace. 3.Connection 5 WiringthereceivertothegateopenerwithOPEN/ENTRY/EXIT terminal Thereare5terminalsonthereceiverboard,“NO”“COM”“NC”“PWRIN”“GND” terminals.“PWRIN”and“GND”areusedforpowerinput.Powersupplyofthe receivercouldbe9-24VDC.“NO”and“COM”terminalsareusedtoconnecttothe entry/exit/openterminalofthecontrolboardofthegateopener. Testing NOTE:Pleasemakesurethereisnomovingmetalobjectintherangeofthe sensor,whenthetransmittermoduleisinitiallypoweredup,pleasewaitfor60 secondswhichallowsthetransmittermoduleandwandsensorselftestand environmentcalibrations NOTE:Everytimeyouadjustthesensitivityyouneedtore-powerthe transmittermoduletomakethenewsettingeffective. Afterinstallationandwiringthetransmittermoduleandreceiver,youmusttesttosee ifitworksproperlyandiftherangeneedstobeadjustedforoptimumperformance. Turnthepotentiometer(POT)clockwisetoincreaserange. Turnthepotentiometer(POT)counter-clockwisetodecreaserange. 6 CovertheWANDsensorandthesensorcable(PVCconduit)aftereverythingis testedOK. TroubleShooting IftheWANDisnotworking: 1.Makesureallconnectionsarecorrect. 2.Makesurethecodesbetweenthetransmittermoduleandreceiverissame. 3.MakesuretheRangeAdjustmentissetatmaximumrange. 4.Disconnectthepower(removethebattery)tothetransmittermodule. Reconnectthepowertothetransmittermoduleandmakesurethatnometalobject orvehicleismovingaroundtheWANDfor60secondswhileitiscalibrating. TesttheWANDtoverifythatitisworkingproperly. FCCStatement Thisdevicecomplieswithpart15oftheFCCrules. Operationissubjecttothefollowingtwoconditions:(1)thisdevicemay notcauseharmfulinterference,and(2)thisdevicemustacceptany interferencereceived,includinginterferencethatmaycauseundesired operation.Changesormodificationsnotexpresslyapprovedbytheparty responsibleforcompliancecouldvoidtheuser'sauthoritytooperatethe equipment.
