Modes Explained Press once to cycle between scanning modes: Standard, Channel Hop, and Channel Skip. Press and hold to switch between Bluetooth and Wordbank modes. 1. Standard Mode: Continuously scans through all stations (AM/FM), uses selected sweep speed. 2. Channel Hop Mode: Scans only saved broadcast stations, and produces no white noise. 3. Channel Skip Mode: Skips saved stations, and plays only white noise between frequencies. 4. Wordbank Mode: Plays MP3 or WAV files from the memory card in random order (supports folder-based file organization). Files under 3 seconds play in their entirety. For files over 3 seconds, a random 3-second segment is played. 5. Bluetooth Mode: Connect your phone or tablet to the HexBox via Bluetooth. Play your favourite ghost hunting apps through the HexBox speaker. Bluetooth Mode The HexBox includes built-in Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to stream audio from your phone or tablet directly through the device’s speaker. This is ideal for playing audio from ghost hunting apps or any other paranormal tools on your mobile device. To Use Bluetooth Mode: • Press and hold the mode button until Bluetooth Mode is displayed on the screen. • On your phone, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices. • Select “HexBox” from the list to connect. • Once connected, play audio from your preferred ghost hunting app — it will be routed through the HexBox speaker. Scanning Before starting a scan, you can customise the experience by adjusting the following settings: • Sweep Speed: Cycle through sweep intervals from 50ms to 400ms to control how quickly the device scans between frequencies. • AM/FM Preference: Select AM or FM mode depending on your preference and location. • Reverb Level: Add depth or echo to incoming audio by choosing from six reverb levels: Off, Level 1–5. • Scanning Mode: Choose between: o Standard (continuous scan) o Channel Hop (broadcast stations only) o Channel Skip (white noise only) Once configured, start scanning forwards or backwards using the dedicated buttons. Wordbank Mode Plays MP3 or WAV files from a microSD card in random order. Files under 3 seconds play in full; longer files play a random 3-second segment. Supports folder-based organisation. The HexBox is available with or without a preloaded card — you can also use your own, containing custom files. Wordbank Mode ignores sweep settings and scan direction. To Use Wordbank Mode: • Insert a microSD card containing MP3 or WAV files. • Press and hold the mode button until Wordbank mode appears on the screen. If the device enters Bluetooth mod…

Shenzhen BCTC Testing Co., Ltd. FCC ID: 2BST5-HEXBOX Portable device According to §15.247(e)(i) and §1.1307(b)(1), systems operating under the provisions of this section shall be operated in a manner that ensures that the public is not exposed to radio frequency energy level in excess of the Commission’s guidelines. According to KDB447498 D01 General RF Exposure Guidance V06 The 1-g SAR and 10-g SAR test exclusion thresholds for 100 MHz to 6 GHz at test separation distances ≤ 50 mm are determined by: [(max. power of channel, including tune-up tolerance, mW)/(min. test separation distance, mm)]·[√f(GHZ)] ≤ 3.0 for 1-g SAR and ≤ 7.5 for 10-g extremity SAR, where: • f(GHZ) is the RF channel transmit frequency in GHz • Power and distance are rounded to the nearest mW and mm before calculation • The result is rounded to one decimal place for comparison When the minimum test separation distance is < 5 mm, a distance of 5 mm is applied to determine SAR test exclusion.
