Quick Start Guide BLESecure Cable Seal Introduction This guide will preview the product specifications as well as guide you through Product activation of the cable seal. Quick Start Guide 1. Confirm the Tracker (Hub) device being used on a shipment is turned ON and active. The ‘Status Rcvd’ in the platform will turn green once the Tracker is active and reporting. (see picture below) Figure 1: Tracker Device Card 2. There are 2 ways to activate the seal: a. Apply the activation tool to the seal. There will be 15 audible beeps along with a blinking red LED to indicate the seal is broadcasting. This will create an instance of the BLESecure seal in your account within the platform. Please confirm the seal is visible on the platform before proceeding. It may take several minutes for the seal to become visible in the platform. b. Locking the cable seal will activate the seal. There will be 15 audible beeps along with a blinking red LED to indicate the seal is broadcasting. Prior to locking, please see below Sections 4-6 for installation instructions. This will create an instance of the BLESecure seal in your account within the platform. Please confirm the seal is visible on the platform before proceeding. It may take several minutes for the seal to become visible in the platform. Below is an example of how the seal will appear under Tracking → Devices. The initial state of the BLESecure seal will show ‘OPEN’ under Seal Status unless activation was completed by locking the seal, in which case, the state will show ‘CLOSED.’ Note: If the seal does not beep or the red led does not illuminate, then set aside and use a different seal. Figure 2. BLESecure Seal Figure 3. BLE Seal Card 3. Record the last 6 digits of the BLE Seal ID and the last 4-6 digits of the Tracker device. Then create a Shipment via the TrackSecure Platform and add the Tracker and the BLE seal(s) to the shipment. 4. At installation on the truck/trailer/container, please ensure that the container doors are closed securely. 5. Locate the hasp or valve to secure and insert the cable into the cable seal through opening. Next, push the cable through the seal body pushing down until the cable exits the bottom and there is approximately 2 inches of cable exposed. (See Sample Cable seal Installation Pictures below under #6) 6. Make sure the cable is fully secured into the blue cable seal body. Figure 4. 12” Sample Cable Seal Installation Picture Troubleshooting Issue: Cable loose ● Possible Cause: Not fully inserted into the housing engaging the lock. ● Solution: Make sure the cable is fully inserted and pull from the bottom Issue: Seal is not visible in the platform ● Possible Cause: No power from battery ● Solution: Replace with new seal Issue: Seal is not visible in the platform ● Possible Cause: Tracker/Hub has not been turned ON ● Solution: Turn on Tracker/Hub and wait a few minutes for seal to be Detected Issue: When activating there is not audible beeps or flashing red LED ● Possible Cause: No power from battery ● Solution: Replace with new seal Product Specifications ● Product Name: BLESecure Cable Seal ● Material: ABS housing, steel cable ● Dimensions (Standard Body): ○ 12”: 1.75”(L) × 1.88”(W) × 0.69”(T) ● Communications: Bluetooth 5.0 ● Battery: CR2032 3V Lithium ● Beacon Rate: ○ 10 seconds during normal operation ○ 1 second during a Tamper and/Cut state FCC Statement: This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
