Users Manual

Ground Mount Directional Uplights, Wall Washers and Mini Flood Fixture Installation Sheet FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY WITH LOW VOLTAGE LANDSCAPE POWER UNITS 12 Volt, Class 2 only. WARNING: Luminaires must be installed in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and local codes. Failure to do so will void the warranty and may result in serious injury and/or damage to the luminaire. WARNING: Risk Of Fire/Injury To Persons. Keep away from combustibles. Turn off/unplug to change lamp. Do not touch lamp. Replace after Servicing. WARNING: Risk of Electric Shock. Install all luminaires 10 feet (3.05 m) or more from a pool, spa, or fountain. INSTRUCTIONS PERTAINING TO A RISK OF FIRE, OR INJURY TO PERSONS IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS The fixture cable shall a)be protected by routing in close proximity to the luminaire or fitting, or next to a building structure such as a house or deck; b) not be buried except for a maximum 6 inches (15.2 cm) in order to connect to the main low voltage cable; and c) have the length cut off so that it is connected to a connector within 6 inches (15.2 cm) from a building structure, a luminaire, or fitting. Lighted lamp is HOT! WARNING – To reduce the risk of FIRE OR INJURY TO PERSONS: • Turn off/unplug and allow to cool before replacing lamp. • Lamp gets HOT quickly! Contact only switch/plug when turning on. • Do not touch hot lens, guard, or enclosure. • Keep lamp away from materials that may burn. • Do not touch the lamp at any time. Use a soft cloth. Oil from skin may damage lamp. •Do not operate the luminaire fitted with a missing or damaged shield. • Mount the luminaire in or on non-combustible mounting surfaces only. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS Luminaire can become very hot depending on lamp wattage used. Lens and metal around lamp can become hot enough to blister hands. Particular care should be taken to locate luminaires where small children cannot reach them if high wattage lamps are used. DO NOT USE EXTENSION CORDS ON POWER UNITS. NOTE: Always use UL, cUL, and CSA recognized wire connectors for connections. To prevent electric shock, disconnect transformer from electrical supply before installation or service. 2. Run wire pigtail from luminaire through the mounting hole in top of ground stake. 3. Thread luminaire into threaded hole in ground stake. 4.Place stake in desired position and insert into ground until flange of stake is flush to grade. 5.Strip the (2) leads from the luminaire pigtail wire. Using the two (2) silicone filled safety connectors (by others), connect the leads from the luminaire to the main supply cable leads. NOTE: Luminaires are supplied with 18-2 cable pigtail for secure connection to the main supply cable. The fi xture supply cable is to be protected by routing in close proximity to the luminaire. The fixture supply should be buried to a maximum depth of 6 inches (15.2 cm) in order to connect to the main secondary supply cable. To purchase additional lengths of main low voltage cable for the connection of the equipment, please contact your local electrical supply distribution company. Only use Main Secondary Cable of the type specified in the National Electric Code or Canadian Electric Code for landscape lighting applications. If in doubt, check with your local electrical authority. 6. Aim luminaire to desired angle. Calculate the distance from the product to the MPE limit by the formula. 2.2 LIMIT For single RF sources (i.e., any single fixed RF source, mobile device, or portable device, as defined in paragraph (b)(2) of this section): A single RF source is exempt if: (A) The available maximum time-averaged power is no more than 1 mW, regardless of separation distance. This exemption may not be used in conjunction with other exemption criteria other than those in paragraph (b)(3)(ii)(A) of Part 1.1307. Medical implant devices may only use this exemption and that in paragraph (b)(3)(ii)(A); (B) Or the available maximum time-averaged power or effective radiated power (ERP), whichever is greater, is less than or equal to the threshold Pth (mW) described in the following formula.
