General Information These instructions are intended for users with knowledge and experience in assembling and installing bicycle components. Special tools are required for this. If you do not know how to assemble or install bicycle components or do not have the appropriate tools, please contact a bicycle specialist to have this work performed properly. If the components are assembled or installed improperly, it can lead to a fall resulting in serious injury. Please read and follow these instructions carefully and keep them for future reference. busch+müller offers a diverse product portfolio of bicycle lights. Not every light is suitable for every application or for riding on every type of surface. There are limitations here. If you are unsure which type of bicycle light you need, you can either call our service hotline at +49 2354 915-7111, send an email inquiry to [email protected], or ask a bicycle dealer near you for advice. 2. Package Contents Bluetooth button Blucon | Optional button holder and rubber ring | User manual | CR2032 battery 3. Safety Information This manual uses signal words to indicate potential hazards or important information. The meanings of these signal words are listed below: [WARNING] Describes a hazardous situation that could result in death or serious injury if not avoided. [CAUTION] Refers to information that is important but does not indicate a hazard (e.g., information regarding property damage). The [!] symbol indicates other useful information about your new bicycle component. 4. Legal Information Before riding your bicycle on public roads, you must familiarize yourself with the applicable laws and regulations of your country and local ordinances and always comply with them. In Germany, you can find these in the Road Traffic Regulations; outside Germany, in other sources, depending on your location. In Germany, the following is required: If the Blucon Bluetooth button [2] is used to control a turn signal or to operate a high-beam function, it must be mounted in such a way that the hand does not have to be removed from the handlebars to operate it. Additionally, in Germany, when used in conjunction with a high-beam function, the high beams must always be able to be turned off with a brief press of the high-beam button. 5. Technical Specifications Dimensions of the Blucon Bluetooth Button: Height: 205 mm | Length: 321 mm | Width: 503 mm | Weight: 27 g Battery: Button cell (CR2032) 6. Installation 6.1. General Installation Instructions [CAUTION] Never mount brackets on tapered components! Tighten screws only enough to prevent components from shifting on their own. This is particularly important when riding on uneven terrain. 6.2. Installation and Connection of the Blucon Bluetooth Button Securely mount the Bluetooth button [2] on the handlebars using the included button holder [2.1] or the supplied rubber ring, ensuring it is easily accessible so that it can be operated without taking your hand off the handlebars. Mounting with the button holder [2.1] is possible on handlebars with a diameter of 22.2 mm. Mounting with the rubber ring is possible on handlebars with a diameter of 22 to 32 mm. Mounting with button holder [2.1]: [!] To ensure the Bluetooth button [2] adapts to the specific layout of the cockpit, it can be adjusted or rotated to always guarantee easy access. To do this, loosen the 2 mm Allen screw [2.3] on the button holder [2.1] (TX 10), rotate the Bluetooth button so that the locking tab [2.2] is positioned in front of the opening of the button holder, and slide the Bluetooth button out of the button holder. To do this, the button holder must be opened at least far enough so that the locking tab can be pushed through the button holder. Now the Bluetooth button can be rotated 180° and reinserted into the button holder. Before tightening the clamping screw again, ensure that the locking tab is positioned behind the button holder to prevent the Bluetooth button from slipping out of the button holder. As soon as the battery in the Bluetooth button [2] drops below 10% capacity, an LED in the Bluetooth button [2] flashes red and the high beam function can no longer be activated. Replace the battery immediately. See “Replacing the Bluetooth Button Battery” If the Bluetooth button [2] needs to be replaced or a button does not connect automatically, the button information stored in the headlight must be deleted. The easiest way to do this is via the app in the “Button Configuration Window” menu using the “Disconnect Button from Headlight” command. See also “8.5. busch+müller App”. If the Bluetooth button [2] is not connected to a headlight for 30 seconds, it enters power-saving mode. Pressing a button activates the Bluetooth button [2] and causes it to attempt to connect to a headlight. This first press of the button to connect does not yet trigger any function on the headlight. [!] To ensure the best possible Bluetooth connection, the headlight and Bluetooth button [2] should be mounted so that as few components as possible are located between the two devices. [!] If the connection between the headlight and the Bluetooth button [2] is lost, any high-beam function that may be active will automatically turn off. 6.3. Battery Replacement for the Blucon Bluetooth Button If the battery in the Bluetooth button [2] needs to be replaced, the Bluetooth button can be detac…

Antenna Location: The antenna is located on the main printed circuit board at one corner auf the PCB. Antenna Configuration: The antenna is permanently integrated into the device and is not accessible to the end user. It cannot be removed or replaced.
