S ystem Setup System Setup - 4342 - System Setup S ystem Setup n : : : Select “Tape Length” Press the RIGHT button to select the Tape Length. This information is usually printed on the tape box. The menu cycles through: T-120, T-160 or T-180. Once the type of cassette is set, the VCR can display the amount of time remaining on the tape when you press the INFO. button. 4 n : : : Select “Auto Play” Move the selection bar to “Auto Play,” then press right button to select from the follow- ing options: • On - The VCR will automatically begin playing a video tape when it is insert- ed, as long as the safety tab of the cassette has been removed. • Off - Auto play is disabled. 5 n : : : Select “Auto Repeat” Move the selection bar to “ Auto Repeat”. Pressing the button once again within 3 seconds returns to the beginning of the previous chapter or track. • If you press the ❿❿ lbutton If you press the ❿❿lbutton, it moves to the next chapter or track. 46 - Playback P layback Front Display Set “Front Display” Move the selection bar to “Front Display,” then press RIGHT button to select from the following options: • Auto dim – Front Panel Display will dim automatically during power off. • Bright – Front Panel Display will be bright all the time. • Dim – Front Panel Display will be dim all the time. 4 Playing a Disc Press the OPEN/CLOSE button. • The STANDBY indicator light goes out and the tray opens. 1 Place a disc gently into the tray with the disc’s label facing up. • For DVD-RAM discs, insert printed side facing up. 2 Press the PLAY/PAUSE button or OPEN/CLOSE button to close the disc tray. • Your DVD Recorder-VCR close the disc tray and playback the disc automatically. • If you insert common audio CD (CDDA) or data CD of MP3 files, your DVD Recorder-VCR will display the file list on the screen and playback the songs auto- matically. 3 Press the STOP button during play 4 Auto dim Bright Dim  Your DVD Recorder-VCR memorize the stop position when you stop playback, and resume playback from the memorized position when you press the PLAY button again. (Except that you have removed the disc, pressed the STOP button twice, or urned off the power.). This function is applicable for DVD-VIDEO, DVD-RAM, DVD-RW or audio CD (CDDA) only.  Press the ❿❙button to hear the next song in the playlist when playing back an audio CD or MP3 disc.
