Smart Cord TM HOW IT WORKS The Smart Cord allows for manual or Bluetooth power control using the A2DP Bluetooth Profile of your device. If your device does not utilize this Stereo Bluetooth Profile, you will not be able to remotely control the switch. This is a very common and standard profile use by most Smartphones, including the top 10 as reviewed by PC Magazine in 2010. Because the Smart Cord uses the audio path to transmit signals, you must PLAY this audio file from a PAIRED Bluetooth Device to operate the switch. APPS exist for the various phone platforms. Please visit the website below for more information: www.ZMote.com/apps A web based app also exists that can be used with computers or other devices that do not have specifically design application. Also, because the Bluetooth command is sent via the audio channel, any A2DP capable Bluetooth device that can play audio files (mp3, wav, aif) may also function the Smart Cord. All that you need to do is download the audio file by visiting the website above, pair your device and play. For more information, please drop us an email or visit us online. ZMote Corporation www.ZMote.com [email protected] MANUAL POWER TOGGLE Push the Power Button to Toggle the Power of the Smart Cord. Bluetooth does not have to be on for this to work. Bluetooth Operation TURN ON BLUETOOTH Hold Down the Bluetooth Button for 5 seconds until Bluetooth Light flashes, indicating Bluetooth is On. TURN OFF BLUETOOTH Hold Down the Bluetooth Button for 10 seconds until Red Light Flashes Quickly and then turns off. DARK MODE With Bluetooth On, tap the Bluetooth Button. Bluetooth Light will then turn OFF. Tap the Bluetooth Button again to turn the Bluetooth Light back on. PAIRING 1. Hold Down the Bluetooth Button for 5 seconds until Bluetooth Light flashes. 2. DISCOVER Bluetooth Devices with your Phone or Similar device. 3. Connect to the Smart Cord identified ZCHORD1. 4. The Bluetooth Light will stop flashing and remain constant, indicating a connection has been made. For information on how to access your devices Bluetooth Connection process, please refer to the documentation associated with your Phone or similar device.
