Record the serial number in the space provided below. Refer to them whenever you call upon your Sony dealer regarding this product. Model No. ______________ Serial No. ______________ CPF-IX001 2 GB To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture. This product to be used indoor only. To prevent fire, do not cover the ventilation of the apparatus with news papers, table-cloths, curtains, etc. And don’t place lighted candles on the apparatus. To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the apparatus. The nameplate is located on the bottom exterior. CAUTION Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type recommended by the manufacturer. Discard used batteries according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Notice for the customers in the U.S.A. This symbol is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons. This symbol is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance. This graphic symbol is located on the bottom of the unit. This transmitter must not be co-located or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for uncontrolled equipment and meets the FCC radio frequency (RF) Exposure Guidelines in Supplement C to OET65. This equipment should be installed and operated with at least 20cm and more between the radiator and person’s body (excluding extremities: hands, wrists, feet and legs). This appears to be an application for a Module Approval. As such, a letter detailing the requirements of DA 00-1407 must be included in this filing. If this is to be a Limited Modular Approval (LMA) then you must explicitly document how this device shall be configured and installed. Simply saying that this device will be used in SONY products is insufficient. This letter also cannot be covered under the terms of Short Term Confidentiality agreements, but photographic documentation can be submitted under the Test Setup exhibits. Test Setup photos can be held as STC. ANSWER: This is Limited module for Sony's mobile equipment only. For mobile equipment(FCC2.1091), manufactuer can install this module on any equipment. Hoever, this module does not have regulator itself, so Sony is responsible to install the module to their own (mobile configuration) end-products which has 3.3V stabilized power source. This method is accepted by ATCB before. We separated the LMA latter and photo in the LMA letter. Please keep the "A1 Photo of LMA Letter.pdf" as STC and also replace the LMA letter with "Revised LMA Letter.pdf". 2.) Because this is a Modular Approval, a Manual addressed to any OEM integrator shall also be provided showing instructions as to how this device should be installed and operated. There is a document entitled “Operational Description (Installation)” which appears to try and satisfy these requirements. Should this document be considered the equivalent of the OEM integrator manual? ANSWER: Yes. This is installation manaul.
