If you have any questions, call us at 877-711-ZINK or visit us online at zink.com. 3 What’s in the Box hAppy Print ™ Power Adapter Cleaning zRoll USB Cable 1 / 2h " zRoll ™ 4 zRoll Loading Slot Get to Know Your hAppy Print ™ zRoll Unlock Button Power Button Micro USB port Wi-Fi Button Print output slot Swipe-to-cut 5 • Flashing white when cassette is unlocked or there is no cassette detected • Solid white when cassette is locked and ready to print Swipe-to-Cut Lights flash left to right when ready to cut Wi-Fi Button Tap to switch between broadcast mode (white) and Wi-Fi connect mode (blue) zRoll Unlock Button • Flashing white: searching for device network • Solid white: Wi-Fi is broadcasting and ready to be connected with an iPad or tablet • Solid blue: connected to home network • Flashing blue: searching for your home network 6 What You Need AND OR hAppy Print ™ Power Adapter 1 / 2 " zRoll High-speed Internet Wireless Router (Wi-Fi) Android smartphone or iPhone Android tablet or iPad 7 OR If you have an iPhone or an iPad: just tap the App Store icon and search the store for ZINK Design & Print Studio. If you have an Android phone or Android tablet: tap the Google Play or Play Store button and search for ZINK Design & Print Studio. STEP 1 Download the ZINK Design & Print Studio ™ App 1. Take out your tablet or smartphone. 1. Tap the App Store or Google Play icon. 2. In the search box type in ZINK Design & Print Studio. 3. Look for the hAppy ™ icon and tap to download. You can just scan the QR code. ZINK Design & Print Studio 8 1. Insert the power adapter into the port on the underside of your hAppy Print. 3. Press the power button located on the bottom corner of your hAppy— wait for your hAppy to whir up. STEP 2 Plug In and Power On Your hAppy Print 2. Connect the two sections of the power adapter and plug it into a wall outlet. Run cord under notches inside groove. Wi-Fi: should be solid white 9 STEP 3 Load Your zRoll R R 1. Unpack and remove the pull-tab from the top of the zRoll. 2. Hold your zRoll by the two finger grips on each side and insert it into the back of your hAppy Print. 3. Line up the V-shaped ridge on your zRoll with the notch on your hAppy Print—press the zRoll until you hear a slight click. Finger grip Pull-tab 10 1. Take out your tablet or smartphone. 2. Tap the settings icon on you smartphone or tablet. It's usually found in the app tray of the device. 3. Go to Wi-Fi settings and select the “hAppyPrinter” wireless network. Ancient Warriors Birthday Party 2 NOTE: final illo will have print icon underneath finger and icons at top 14 TIPS HARDWARE • Make sure you’re ready to print. You’re ready to print to your hAppy from your home wire- less network when your hAppy’s Wi-Fi button is solid blue and the zRoll eject button is solid white and your smartphone or tablet is on the same wireless network as your hAppy. • Make sure your zRoll is inserted correctly. Your zRoll is positioned correctly when you hear a light “click” as you hold the zRoll by the side grips and position it into the back of your hAppy. • Clean your hAppy. Insert your white cleaning zRoll into your hAppy after every ten or so prints to keep your hAppy clean and printing well. You can’t print to a cleaning zRoll, so be sure to swap it out when you are ready to print. • Your hAppy has two Wi-Fi modes. When the WiFi button is white, your hAppy is broadcast- ing a Wi-Fi network for your tablet or smartphone to connect to. When the Wi-Fi button is blue, your hAppy is connected to your home wireless network. • Print from your computer. You can connect your hAppy PRINT to your computer with the included USB cable. For more information on how to print to your hAppy from your computer, visit zink.com/support. 15 TIPS SOFTWARE • Tap those buttons. The ZINK Design & Print Studio is designed to be easy and intuitive. Tap around and see what happens. We promise you can’t break anything! • Tap to learn. Press the green “i” (put icon here) in the upper left corner of the app at anytime to learn about each function of the screen you are on. • You never have to save. The ZINK Design and Print Studio automatically saves your design each step of the way. You never have to remember to save your designs or worry about losing them! • Tap to approve. When you want to approve an action, you can just tap the green approve button on the lower right side of the screen. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
