The modular transmitter has its own RF shielding. See photos 2. The modular transmitter has buffered modulation/data inputs. 3. The modular transmitter has its own power supply regulation on board. 4. The modular transmitter has an on board antenna. 5. The modular transmitter was tested in a stand-alone configuration; the compliance with the AC line conducted requirements found in Section 15.207 was tested in a typical application as printer server plugged into a printer (see test setup photo). 6. The modular transmitter will labeled with its own FCC ID number (See photo). The intended mobile applications will be labeled with “Radio with FCC ID: B945092-0115 included”. 7. The modular transmitter will be used and installed in specific applications. Example manual for the printer server application is included in the application 8. The modular transmitter complies with the applicable RF exposure requirements. The spread spectrum transmitters operating under Section 15.247 can be used for mobile applications, which guarantee a minimum distance of 20 cm. However the MPE calculation shows the minimum distance for compliance with the RF exposure limits. Technical Manager

CETECOM Inc. 411 Dixon Landing Road Milpitas, CA 95035 Federal Communication Commission Authorization and Evaluation Division 7435 Oakland Mills Road Columbia, MD 21046 Attention: Reviewing Engineer The HP 5092-0115 is a WLAN card with USB interface for use in printer server or similar mobile applications. In the user manual it is called USB module . Due to the construction and the position of the antenna (TX and RX) a minimum distance under normal operating conditions of more than 20 cm to the antenna is guaranteed. The manual contains a relevant statement. The calculation was made for this worst case. The maximum peak output power for this device is 86.5 mW (19.37 dBm). Regarding MPE limits, GPUC environment limits maximum exposure to 1 mW/cm 2. The power density is: S = E 2 /3770=-13 H 2 < 1 mW/cm 2 Where: S = Power density (mW/cm 2) E = electrical field strength (V/m) This formula converted using the EIRP is P out *G/4π*r 2 (mW/cm 2 ) 86.5/4π*20 2 = 0.0172 mW/cm 2 Calculations are based on standard formula for calculating field strength at a distance and converting power density using free space impedance. If you should have any questions regarding this submission, please feel free to contact the undersigned. Yours truly, Lothar Schmidt Technical Manager EMC/Radio CETECOM Inc.
