Certification and safety approvals FCC This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Users are not permitted to make changes or modify the device in any way. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by Jabra (GN Netcom) will void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. Users Manual

Getting started Drive safely! WARNING: Driving a vehicle requires your full attention to road conditions, weather, and vehicular traffic. It is important to set up your BlackBerry® Wireless Headset HS-500 prior to driving. Using this hands-free accessory may cause you to be distracted and may put you, your passengers, and occupants of other vehicles at risk of suffering bodily injury, death and/or loss of property. You should only use the hands-free accessory where permitted by law and when you will not be distracted from the proper operation of your motor vehicle. Components Change the ear piece 1. If necessary, gently pull the ear hook to remove it. 2. Gently pull off the ear gel at its edges. 3. Replace the ear gel with a new ear gel. Turn on or turn off the headset When you turn on the headset for the first time, it's in pairing mode. 1. Try different combinations of the ear gels and the ear hook to find your best fit. 2. Slide the power switch to the On position. 3. Insert the ear gel into your ear so that the headset points toward your mouth. 4. To turn off the headset, slide the power switch to the Off position. Pairing the headset Pair and connect the headset with your BlackBerry device Before you can use your headset, you need to pair it with your BlackBerry® device. When you turn on the headset for the first time, it's already in pairing mode. You can press and hold the Call control button for 5 seconds to turn on pairing mode at any time. 1. Slide the power switch to the On position. 2. On the Home screen of your BlackBerry device, click the Manage Connections icon > Set Up Bluetooth or Bluetooth Connections > Search. 3. You can add your headset to the list of Trusted Devices to prevent a prompt from appearing each time you turn on the headset. About pairing the headset with two or more Bluetooth enabled devices The headset features Bluetooth® technology with multipoint signaling that allows you to pair with two or more Bluetooth enabled devices at the same time. The headset manages calls received from one device at a time. For example, if you're using the headset for a call on your BlackBerry device and you receive a call on another mobile device that is paired with your headset, the second call isn't directed to the headset. Using the headset Common tasks You can complete the following actions by tapping or pressing the call control button when the headset is paired and connected with your BlackBerry® device.
