Align the headset and the headband wearing-style attachment, as illustrated, and press firmly together until they click into place (snap-to-click). 2. Rotate the microphone boom arm for left or right ear use.3. Adjust the length of the headband to fit snug against the head. CLICK OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES Attaching the earhook (not supplied in all regions)1. Assemble the earhook wearing-style attachment for left or right ear use. If necessary, remove the earbud and replace with another size for best fit. 2. Align the headset and the earhook wearing-style attachment, as illustrated, and press firmly together until they click into place (snap-to-click). 3. Shape the earhook to fit snug around the ear. CLICK STEP 2: UNFOLD THE BASE The Jabra PRO base stand can be folded into three positions: open, closed, and standing position. CLICK STEP 3: CONNECT TO POWER 1. Plug the supplied power adapter into the port marked on the base. 2. Connect the power adapter to the mains power socket. STEP 4: DOCK THE HEADSET Dock the headset. When docked correctly the headset battery will begin charging, if needed. Charge for 20 minutes or until the battery indicator on the base is steady green. Keep the headset docked during setup . CLICK 7 6 US STEP 5: SELECT AND CONNECT TO A DESK PHONE Select which desk phone you are connecting to from the following 4 options: OPTION 1 Desk Phone with Headset PortThis type of desk phone has a dedicated headset port (usually at the back of the phone). These phones typically have a button on the front panel for switching between handset and headset.1. Plug the supplied telephone cable into the port marked on the base. 2. Connect the telephone cable to the headset port on the desk phone. OPTION 2 Desk Phone with Jabra LinkA Jabra Link adapter enables an incoming call to be answered or ended by the headset multi-function button. Contact your local Jabra dealer to purchase a Jabra Link adapter for your specific desk phone.1. Connect the Jabra Link adapter as shown in adapter documentation supplied with the Jabra Link. On some phones the telephone cable will also need to be connected. 2. Call your connected desk phone using another phone to enable the Jabra Link adapter. Wait 10 seconds before answering the phone. Refer to Jabra Link documentation OPTION 3 Desk Phone with GN1000 remote Handset LifterThe GN1000 remote handset lifter manually lifts the desk phone handset to make or answer a call. For mounting instructions refer to documentation supplied with the GN1000.1. On the desk phone, unplug the handset cable from the phone body. 2. Connect the handset cable to the port marked on the base. 3. Plug the supplied telephone cable into the port marked on the base. 4. Connect the telephone cable into the handset port on the desk phone. 5. Connect the GN1000 cable into the port marked on the base. OPTION 4 Desk Phone without Headset PortThis desk phone does not have a dedicated headset port.1. On the desk phone, unplug the handset cable from the phone body. 2. Connect the handset cable to the port marked on the base. 3. Plug the supplied telephone cable into the port marked on the base. 4. (“GN”) has implemented several protective measures in the headset which are carefully designed to maintain safe volume levels and ensure that the headset operates in compliance with government safety standards. This headset is suitable for indoor use only. !Warning! PeRmaNeNT heaRING loss may ResulT FRom loNG-TeRm exPosuRe To souNds aT hIGh volumes. use as low a volume as PossIble. headsets are capable of delivering sounds at loud volumes and high pitched tones. under certain circumstances, exposure to such sounds can result in permanent hearing loss or damage. The volume level may vary based on conditions such as the phone you are using, its reception and volume settings, and the environment. avoid prolonged use of the headset at excessive sound pressure levels. Please read the safety Guidelines below prior to using this headset. You can reduce the risk of hearing damage by following these safety guidelines: 1. Prior to using this headset follow these steps: - before putting on the headset, turn the volume control to its lowest level; - Put the headset on; and then - slowly adjust the volume control to a comfortable level. 2. During the use of this headset: - Keep the volume at the lowest level possible and avoid using the headset in noisy environments where you may be inclined to turn up the volume; - If increased volume is necessary, adjust the volume control slowly; - Ringing in the ears may indicate that the sound levels are too high; - If you experience discomfort or ringing in your ears, immediately discontinue using the headset and consult a physician; and - stop using the headset if it causes great discomfort. with continued use at a high volume, your ears may become accustomed to the sound level, which may result in permanent damage to your hearing without any noticeable discomfort. use caution while using your headset when you are engaging in any activ- ity that requires your full attention. while engaging in any such activity, removing the headset from your ear or turning off your headset will keep you from being distracted, so as to avoid accident or injury. safety information - Install in accordance with the instructions. do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, stoves, or other devices (including amplifiers) that produce heat. - unplug the headset stand during lightning, storms, or when the headset is not used for long periods of time. - use of a headset will impair your ability to hear other sounds. use caution while using your headset when you are engaging in any activity that requires your full attention. - The headset, the headset stand and the power adapter (the “products”) are not toys. Never allow children to play with the products and always store the products out of reach from children. - This package contains small parts that may be hazardous to children. The bags themselves, or the many small parts they contain, may cause choking if ingested. - Consult your physician before using the headset if you have a pacemaker or other electrical medical devices. - Never try to dismantle the products yourself, or push objects of any kind into the products, as this may cause short circuits which could result in a fire or electric shock. - None of the components can be replaced or repaired by users. only authorized dealers or service centers may open the products. Built-in battery care - The products are powered by a rechargeable battery. The full performance of a new battery is achieved only after two or three complete charge and discharge cycles. The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times, but will eventually wear out. - Recharge your battery only with the provided approved charger designated for the products. - If left unused, a fully charged battery will lose its charge over time. - leaving the products in hot or cold places will reduce the capacity and lifetime of the battery. - batteries may explode if damaged.
