Wireless Kit QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE A. FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION (FCC) STATEMENT This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, Pursuant to Part 15 the FCC rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. WARNING: A shielede-type power cord is required in order to meet FCC emission limits and also to prevent interference to the nearby radio and television reception. It is essential that only the supplied power cord be used. Use only shielded cables to connect I/O devices to this equipment. You are cautioned that changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void your authority to operate the equipment. CAUTION: AVOID PROLONGED USE OF THE KEYBOARD WITHOUT BREAKS. Take regular breaks and keep a good posture. Consult your physician promptly if you notice any lost of motion or pain in your wrist when using the keyboard. B. PRODUCT SPECIFICATION 1. Operation Description: 1. Type of Modulation: FSK (Frequency Shift Keying): The FSK (Frequency Shift Keying) technology is a kind of FM modulation. The modulation depth was designed by the manufacture, such as + 3KHz that means the series digital data 0 or 1 were transmitted as carrier frequency minus 3 KHz or plus 3KHz. In the block diagram location A (please refer to the attachment 4) which was series digital data as usual. The location B was modulated by FSK. And then the carrier frequency was selected by a switch. 2. Modulation depth: 5KHz 3. Frequency of operation: 27.175, 27.190, 27.205, 27.220, 27.235, 27.250, 27.265 and 27.80 MHz, eight channels, selectable. 4.Max Frequency range: 27.170 – 27.285 MHz

FCC ID: E8HRFM9943 1. GENERAL INFORMATION 1-1. Product Description The Chicony Electronics Co., Ltd. Model RFM9943(referred to as the EUT in this report) is a RF mouse transmitter that uses FSK(Frequency Shift Keyed) mode frequency modulation radio technology to operate a common receiver unit, Model:WBR9943 Receiver, which designed as an " Input Device " for compatible with a PS/2 interface protocol PC system. The common receiver is so designed by integrated two receiving modules into a receiver unit. One for keyboard data receiving and the other one for mouse(optional) data receiving. Each of those receiving module has to pair-operate with the transmitter at a frequency spectrum which specified. The EUT is a part of this composite system which considered as a short range, low power communication device transmitter. Details of technical specification for EUT, refer to the follows: (1) Transmitter Frequency Designation Operating Frequency Range : Mouse : 27.170 MHz to 27.285 MHz Frequency Band : 8 channels, selectable, for each. Channel setting by software control. Mouse : 27.175 , 27.190 , 27.205 , 27.220 , 27.235 , 27.250 , 27.265 , 27.280 (in MHz) Frequency Tolerance : 5 KHz @ center frequency for each channel. Channel Separation : 15 KHz (2) Effective Radiated Power and Distance Radiated Power : 1 mW max. Operating Distance : 5 ft max. (3) Power Rating Mouse : 1.5V , 50 mA(Max) (4) Operation Methodology The mouse encoder generates a pulse code serially transmit (typical designation) into the modulator(or called as mixer) stage in circuit. This pulse signal mixed with the carrier at modulator(mixer) stage by way of FSK mode frequency modulation. The modulation depth is designed such as ± 5KHz in this application, that means the pulse(may be at high level state or low level state) will trigger the oscillator to generate a frequency at a specified fundamental frequency +5KHz or −5KHz, depended on the designation. For example, if the carrier frequency defined as fundamental frequency +5KHz at high level state, then th…
