Charging the iBT65 Using Bluetooth with the iBT63 Speaker back viewSpeaker front view Power Off/On/ Bluetooth Switch Aux Jack LED USB Audio/Charging Jack Bluetooth Mode Aux-in Mode mobile phonePSPiPod Laptop PC MP3/MP4 The iBT65 is powered by a rechargeable battery in the speaker. When the light flashes red, or if you start to notice sound distortion at higher volumes, it's time to recharge the batteries. • Connect the mini-USB plug to the USB Audio/Charging jack on the speaker. • Connect the larger USB plug to a powered USB port, such as that on a computer. Your computer should be connected to a wall outlet when speaker is charging. The light on the speaker will turn to solid red while charging and turn off when fully charged. Note: You can continue to listen to the speakers while they are charging. The rechargeable battery in your speaker can only be replaced by iHome Consumer Repair Department. Charging the iBT65 Locking and Unlocking the iBT65 To unlock and expand the speaker, grip the top and bottom and give a small twist counter-clockwise. DO NOT pull hard once open, as the built in spring will automatically extend the speaker to its proper position. To compress and lock speaker, line up lock tab on speaker top with lock/unlock icon on base. Press speaker down from the top and twist clockwise to lock in place. • Slide the Bluetooth/Aux/Off Switch on the speaker to the Bluetooth position ( ). The light will flash blue as the speaker attempts to auto-link with the last previously linked unit in range (30 feet). • Place your audio device in Bluetooth mode (often found in the device’s Settings or Tools menu) and make it “discoverable”. “iHome iBT65” should appear on your device. If “Not Connected” or similar message appears, select it to connect. If your device asks for a passcode, enter ‘1234’. • Once paired, the light will glow solid blue and a confirmation beep will sound. If pairing is not successful, turn the power OFF ( ) on the speak- er and repeat pairing procedure. • To listen to Bluetooth audio, make sure the speaker is in Bluetooth mode ( ). • Control Bluetooth audio from your device. Remember to turn off the speaker and your device after listening. NOTE: When unit is charging, the blue light will appear solid red. Using Bluetooth with the iBT65 • Connect the mini-USB plug to the USB Audio/Charging jack on the speaker. • Connect the stereo 3.5mm audio plug to the headphone jack or line-out of any audio device. • Slide the Bluetooth/Aux/Off Switch on the speaker to the ON ( ) position. The blue power light will come on. • Press play on your audio device and adjust its volume to listen to audio. • If you wish to “daisychain” iBT65 speakers, connect the 3.5mm audio plug to the Line Out Jack on an iBT65 that is already connected to an audio source (see above) and the mini-USB plug to the audio input jack on another iBT65. Using the iBT65 with Aux Devices Mini USB plug Standard USB plug 3.5mm audio plug Combination cable Computer USB port USB AC adaptor (not included) USB AC adaptor connected to working outlet Computer connected to working outlet iHome Products, a division of SDI Technologies Inc.
