The device was tested at the facility of Intertek Testing Services in Hsinchu, Taiwan. The maximum output power declared by VTech Telecommunications Ltd. EUT model #LS6315 was evaluated in accordance with the requirements for compliance testing defined in FCC OET Bulletin 65 Supplement C (Edition 01-01), RSS-102 and meet the SAR requirement. For the evaluation, the dosimetric assessment system INDEXSAR SARA2 was used. The phantom employed was the head Specific Anthropomorphic Mannequin (SAM) phantom and the box phantom of 2mm thick in one wall. The total uncertainty for the evaluation of the spatial peak SAR values averaged over a cube of 1g tissue mass had been assessed for this system to be ยฑ20.6%. SAR testing was performed at both left and right ear of the phantom at the two-handset positions stated in the specification. 2mm thick box phantom for body configuration was also evaluated. Testing was performed at the middle frequency of 1900 band with a rechargeable battery and in Normal mode of operation. Any accessories supplied with LS6315 have also been tested. In summary, the maximum spatial peak SAR value for the sample device averaged over 1g was found to be: Phantom Worst Case Position SAR 1g , W/kg Head Specific Anthropomorphic Mannequin (SAM) phantom EUT Left Cheek to the phantom 0.091 W/kg 2mm thick box phantom wall Separating the Box Phantom 0 mm in rear position from EUT 0.131 W/kg In conclusion, the tested Sample device was found to be in compliance with the requirements defined in OET Bulletin 65 Supplement C (Edition 01-01) and RSS-102 for head and body configurations.
