Locate battery compartment. 2. Using a Phillips Head screwdriver, remove the screw and the battery door. 3. Install new batteries. 4. Replace the battery cover and the screw. HOW TO OPERATE YOUR WALKIE TALKIE 1. Open battery cover and snap in 4 x AAA batteries (not included) 2. Turn the “ON/OFF” switch to “ON” position. Your transceiver is now ready to operate. 3. Press the “PUSH-TO-TALK” switch for transmitting. 4. Release the “PUSH-TO-TALK” switch for receiving. 5. When transmitting, speak clearly in a normal voice, holding the set about 3 inches from your mouth. 6. Best transmission and reception are obtained when the antenna is held in a vertical position.
