FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION Xirgo’s XT1040S6 is a wireless door sensor which monitors the state of the trailer door and communicates with Xirgo XT1320. The versatile XT1040S6 offers several mounting options to support swing or roll-up doors. The door sensor utilizes an on-board accelerometer or magnetic sensor to detect door status and report door state changes via Bluetooth to the XT1320. Mechanical Sensor Dimensions 2.15” x 5.7” x 1.0” (5.46 x 14.48 x 2.54 cm) Case Material PC+PBT IP Rating IP66 Vibration SAE J1455 Operating Temperature -40 °F to 140 °F (-40 °C to 60 °C) Power Specifications Batteries 2 L91 Replaceable Lithium AA Certifications FCC, IC XT1040S6 Product Manual Page 4 | 6 CONFIDENTIAL AND PROPRIETARY 2. INSTALLATION Basic install procedure in trailers: Install the length of the door sensor parallel to the length of the trailer on the driver side of the roll up door on the top panel. The push button side faces the driver side wall. Gore vent faces out into the cargo area, away from the driver side wall. 1. Find an area 1.5 inches from the top of the roll-up door top panel and 1.5 inches away from the roll-up door hinge. 2. Clean the surface for the door sensor with 50/50 Isopropyl alcohol or similar such as brake cleaner to clean the surface. 3. Rough up the surface with #000 steel wool and/or a blow torch if the temperature is near 30 °F. 4. Peel back the VHB tape cover to apply and install the door sensor. 5. Push the door sensor button for two seconds and then release. The LEDs will begin to blink. 6. Push the button for six LED blinks. The LEDs will go off to indicate successful activation.
