Introduction: Askey WLL6190D25 802.11g / 802.11n WLAN PCI-E Mini Card User's Guide Before you begin Things you should know WLL6190D25 network Before you begin Obtain the following information from your network administrator (if you are a home user, obtain this information from the person that installed your wireless access point): l Network names (SSID) of the specific wireless networks that you want to connect to. l WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) key information (if any) for the networks you want to connect to. l For Microsoft® Windows® networking, your customer name and workgroup name. l For your network account, your user name and password. l Your IP address (if not using a DHCP server) Things you should know When you start your computer, your Askey WLL6190D25 802.11g / 802.11n WLAN PCI-E Mini Card detects certain wireless networks that are information you obtained from your network administrator. WEP is a security protocol for wireless local area networks (defined in the IEEE 802.11g standard) that encrypts data sent over radio waves. The use of the WEP key is optional and can be enabled or disabled. If the network you are connecting to has enabled WEP, you must also enable WEP in the network profile and set the WEP key to match the WEP key used by the network. To do any of the other tasks, click the tab that is associated with the described task. To start using the utility, right-click the utility icon in the notification area, and then click Open Utility. If the icon is not available, open Broadcom Wireless Utility in Control Panel. NOTE: The utility icon may not appear exactly as shown here. See " Table 1. Ltd., Taoyuan Branch November 17, 2011 Dear Application Examiner, ASKEY COMPUTER CORP, It’s a 802.11g / 802.11n WLAN PCI-E Mini Card FCC ID: H8N-WLL6190D25, would like to have your authorization as a modular approval. The requirements of section 15.212 of FCC rules have been met and shown on the following statements. 1. “The modular transmitter must have its own RF shielding.” The radio portion of this module has been shielded, please see exhibition External Photo. 2. “The modular transmitter must have buffered modulation/data inputs.” The EUT has buffered data inputs, it is integrated in chip BCM43225. 3. “The modular transmitter must have its own power supply regulation.” The part number of this regulator is BCM43225. 4. “The modular transmitter must comply with the antenna requirements of section 15.203 and 15.204(C).” The EUT meets the FCC antenna requirements. The spurious emission, unique antenna connector and photo of antennas are shown in the test report. 5. “The modular transmitter must be tested in a stand-alone configuration” The EUT was tested in a stand-alone configuration via test tool. Please see section Photographs of Test Configuration in the test report, the EUT was plugged in this extender. 6. “The modular transmitter must be labeled with its own FCC ID number.” Please see exhibition Label Sample for the FCC ID of this module. And also in the exhibition Users Manual, there are instructions give to the OEM on how to label the end product. FCC ID: H8N-WLL6190D25 Report No.: RF111003E03 Operational Description This device is an 802.11g / 802.11n WLAN PCI-E Mini Card, which operates in the 2.4GHz band; the maximum data rate could be up to 270Mbps which OFDM technique. If the signal to noise radio is too poor which could not support 270Mbps, the 11Mbps data rate with DSSS technique will be applied. The transmitter of the EUT is powered by the 3.3Vdc from host equipment. The antennas are dipole and PIFA antennas with IPEX antenna connectors.
